Mavididi was sensational. We couldnt cope. We need to be 1st in the queue to sign him up once they go down and he wont wanna play a league lower. Today was frustrating but we created stacks of chances. Would be more worried if we hadnt. Baleba was my MOM and Ayari a close runner up.

I think today's result ends any realistic hope of European football. A missed opportunity with Spurs/Utd out of the picture and the extra place. Shame really but a top 10 finish still on. Let's not allow Palace to finish above us again and hopefully they don't win the f***ing FA Cup.

We go again next year with hopefully a cleaner bill of health...

A deflating but inevitable afternoon as we have always struggled to win games against relegation fodder since we got promoted. The lack of control in midfield without Baleba there was concerning.

I think the best we can hope for now is a top half finish. I could see us imploding though like the end of last season. As expected, the international break has ruined our season.
I don't blame the international break as most other Premier league clubs have as many players going on international duty. We just aren't as good as we thought we were.

Channel surfing came across MOTD and just watched our game. Crikey, no marking for their second goal.

For all this nsc talk of sign Mavididi, they haven’t troubled anyone else for months. People said Semenyo was world class in his Amex visit. Perhaps our right side is bloody awful without Veltman.

I just woke to read the match commentary and read how we miss so many chances and hit the woodwork twice. Play wrecklessly and after the substititions we were lucky not to concede all 3 points. Brighton eh !

I am going to boycott the rest of the season, the players don't want Europe and that is obvious, regardless of what the managent/coaching staff want.
Mid table obscurity and pay cheques good enough. I have better things to do as well.
Will check the results in passing, though not expecting it to get any better.
I will still dip in on other threads, but as far as the match ones are concerned, I am done.
Next season for me, players are as entitled as some fans.
I don't expect to win every game, but expect us to at least try.

He's barely played for them since the new year and has only got 3 goals all season.

Agreed, then he gets subbed. Strange move.
Didn't understand that at all. He was having a good game. Most of the subs didn't make sense - why take Miinteh off and leave the completely ineffectual Adingra on the pitch?

Probably worth leaving him on so as not to disturb the team and its rythym. Ayari, who I like a lot, was totally anonymous today. He should have been the one hooked. O'Riley went instead and we lost any semblance of control over the outcome.
At last someone who sees it the same way as me. I thought Ayari was very poor, while O'Riley had his best game for us.

Sadly true. We only ever get away with it temporarily

Disappointing today.
How did it happen?
I don't know.
I don't know any more than Pep knows how Citeh have become bang average this season.

But if you read any of the data published by A Dullard, you will find we are still punching above our weight.
Ninth in the league. If we finish there it will be our equal second best finish.
Ever.

And Grown Men are losing their shit.
No wonder we have just lived through a series of utter shite tory governments.

If the public get the governments they deserve, some footy fans get far, far more than they deserve.
Not one of your best Harry, if I may say so😀😳
I think the injuries are killing us. Combination play is harder when the team isn't settled and missing Rutter, Mitoma and JPvH is massive. I agree though, we should've been good enough to beat a terrible Leicester team.
And Webbo!
Whoops, my mistake joining these posts. I’m blaming the ruddy ads and my senility, but not the Tories.😀

Politics, always politics if they can be squeezed in by Harry

The Government can be called out and so can a football club, there’s the correlation
I made a comment about someone bringing politics into a discussion about something that was not politics, yesterday,
and was accused of bringing politics into it :lolol:

You seem to understand I was making a perfectly reasonable colourful allusion.
(Albeit you seem to giveth with one hand and taketh with the other in that regard).
As for Potty... the faithful, and almost pathological, defender of his majesty's loyal opposition....
If I had made some comment about 'too Kier tier' or whoever he calls him, he'd be thumbsing me up with glee ???

Completely off topic but I drove to the Channel Tunnel today, what a horrendous drive with 50 mph speed limit for more than half the journey I reckon. I saw the sign for Faversham and thought of you. I am in awe of you doing that trip there and back to get to the Amex with all the shit kick off times

Cheers pal. Yes, the south of England roads from Brighton to Dover are basically non-existent.
I cut through country to the Amex, and rather enjoy the scenery.
Charing, Pluckley, Biddenden, Iden Green then a clever cut through small roads to Hurst Green avoiding Hawkhurst.
You can guess the rest.
