NS catering pre match and at HT were the lowest queues ever, also lots of empty seats. A much lower true attendance?
I'm just quoting PBOBE in regards to what he said of the Forest game and what I experienced post match today in the North concourse after the game. I've never walked in there post match and got served so quick as happened today though. The Terrace was rammed after the game when I walked past on the way home.

I just mentioned that to you as a fellow ns‘er. Couldn’t believe how lucky we were with the short queues at HT.

At the Forest FAC game the concourse was heaving.

The Terrace does appear to be having have an impact I think. My pre-match watering hole/spot was noticeably less busy pre match today and that's one that's walkeable to the Amex. I haven't been on the North concourse for a few games post match, but that was strange today getting served straight away.

Will The Swan be alright? Someone here said the other day it’s been hit badly.

It wasn't The Swan, but I do think The Terrace will have a hit on that and the Uni bar(s) and pubs at Brighton station and Lewes etc. Nice weather/evening post match or not, I thought there was a lot more people hanging around after the game than normal. The Terrace seemed to a have a little takeaway bar and the big screen was showing the Arsenal game and that was all after killing time having a pint in the North.

I cycle past the Coldean pub, I hope they still thrive on match days. Perhaps being cheaper and having traditional immediate service will give the pubs an edge in another way.

I now go to swan pre match and it’s so quiet , get served quick loads of room
I have heard the Caxton is quiet and @jackalbion , I think, posted the Albert also. I wonder if this will continue when the Terrace novelty wears off?

What would we have preferred a decent £30-40m CB who doesn’t need a year to bed in or the Terrace?
Didn't the Terrace cost £10million? Also, it may sound sad but I'm rather attached to The Terrace already. Compared to other fanzones, it's the balls. It did improve my matchday experience before the game, watching the football outside and a decent atmosphere too. Much better than the concourse.

Let's not forget, The Terrace could pave the way for the club for afford higher wages for such CB that you mention 😉

So I’ve been to the Swan last 3 or 4 games but the sun has been out and a lot of people outside. Still seemed busy to me there yesterday and I was still there at 14.30.

Sussex but not by the sea
The Caxton was busy yesterday pre-game and post game. I too got a pint very quickly in the north post match after taking one look at the scrum in the terrace and about turning.
The Terrace is a great addition but having away fans in there post match winds me up more than it probably should.
It doesn’t surprise me that takings are up, if you can get served quicker then more people will eat/drink more, pretty basic logic, I’ve said for years that the club are leaving a lot of money in peoples pockets due to the queues and slow service, I see a lot less people ‘give up’ now, me included.

The terrace is still shiny and new and the weather is good. The pubs will still do very well on matchdays going forward
