Bar Rew what’s left ? Always thought of Gregory as a decent bat .
Rew and Gregory could do a lot of damage. Get through them and it's looking good.

What's the lead required to enforce a follow on? 150?

Although I realise it doesn't seem to be the fashion to do that these days.
I think it's 150. But if we get there I wouldn't bank of them having a poor second innings. With the sun out today I would want another hit.

Sides always used to follow on when I was a kid. But often because it was three day cricket. But it happened in Tests too with Leeds '81 making little difference.I think it was Eden Gardens in 2001 that brought about the sea change. Aussies never make teams follow on now and the trend has spread.

Gregory is decent. He actually started for us as a potential replacement for tres when he got injured in 2010 or 11. He is dangerous.

The saffer coming in next is a horrible slogger but he can score quite a few.

For years we have averaged more lower down than first few wickets. It is mad.

The game is in the offing right here . I don’t think you’ll let us get away with letting two dominant positions slip

201ao. Hunt 5fer. Not a bad first four home sessions back!

Hopefully put a few on the board today and then get amongst the wickets in front of a bumper crowd tomorrow.

Hopefully we’ll put on a big score, then bowl them out by the end of day 4 before they reach that score

I still can’t believe we have not won a champo game without overton since sept 2019. That is pretty mental when he misses quite a few and we are a decent side.

Somerset are getting absolutely pumped and Brighton are finishing like clowns. At least you Sussex fans have something to be happy about today.

My headaches are back too.

How many? 🤔
Maybe you’re new to the cricket thread.
But you do realise every prediction ends up doing the opposite?
Say tom Haines is playing well and see what happens

I did wonder if he’d get it anyway, rain all day tomorrow and the inevitable crappy draw from this average Sussex Side, Rob Andrew is to blame

Great effort today but let’s face it we aren’t taking 10 more wickets on that road if we played til Christmas.
Going by how close Leics ran us last season, and the quality of Somerset, we will need a 550/600 lead to be sure of avoiding a defeat.

Shirley put them back into the field for an hour, 50 or so more runs and see how they chase nearly 400 on the final dig...
