I have been sorting out my attic and garage in Horsham and have a boxful of old Albion programmes and a few other club programmes. Also some football stickers collections e.g. World Cup 1970.
'83 Cup semi-final and final replay are included.
I'm happy to give the whole lot away to a good home.

Is nobody interested in taking these off my hands? There is a 1970 World Cup esso coin collection and some other football sticker sets as well as many match programmes.
Just for interest, the Blackpool match programme pictured is the day of the infamous Spuds v Stains stitch-up when a football match at The Dell didn't really happen.

Seems that there is no interest in these any more. Is the ESSO collection not worth a few bob on ebay?
My guess is you're the same age as me (70) as your collection matches mine. I could never throw mine out as each programme brings back memories.

Kept a few. The Palace matches of the 70s including that game at Stamford Bridge.
7-2 York City and the 96 abandoned York game.
4-0 v Portsmouth ‘77. The 75th anniversary game v Stoke City (Banks in goal).
Also…….who cares!

I feel for your descendants then, it’s precisely all this sort of tat and worthless shite that takes ages and a lot of money too sometimes to clear! Unless you’re repeatedly looking at, do everyone a favour and let it go. Same goes for just about everything else in a house, the belief everything is worth something and can be sold or donated is utterly mistaken. It’s just landfill, all our lifetime possessions are in the main. Collectors are hoarders by another name!

My brother would potentially be interested if you had any that were mid 80s and beyond into 90s?

Guessing not from your thread title, but this goes for anyone else looking to get rid of programmes from around 86-94.

Some of the old letters pages are quite incredible. Really not much of a vetting process it seems.

Half of the letters from people in the early 90s were opposition fans basically saying how much of a dangerously dilapidated shithole the Goldstone was, ha.

4 years younger. They've been in a box in the garage for the last 15 years, in the attic for 20 years before that. They deserve freedom🤣

If they're still available would love to give them a good home, please?

I have to confess that 4 years ago my 50 year collection (less one from each season and a few others) met their demise at Hove council tip. No space when we moved and nobody wanted them.

I kissed all of mine goodbye for the final time at the local tip a few years ago, most were 60's and 70's (inc. Football League Reviews), but were worth bugger all 😢

I did something similar but part of the process included having to go through every programme so as to keep the memorable ones, eg pictures of kids, promotion winning, significant dates ……. It took forever and I ended up with about 80.

Yes, similar story - both kids were junior seagulls and ball boys, so there were quite a few from particular eras that I oiked out and kept for each of them. There were a couple of me in there presenting awards to players. I also kept the last programme from each season.

Sometimes its not about the financial value, but the individual memories they invoke, I have loads that mean nothing to most people including my sons, but my occasional 5 minute foray into the loft to get some other tat, often leads to an hour of sitting and reminiscing. That saying I haven't saved programs for many years now, only ticket stubs from away games, even that's nearly stopped now with electronic tickets. Note to self, clear out IPhone wallet of old tickets, still have the Europa ones :ROFLMAO:.

Painful to hear but fully understandable. I collected hundreds during the late 70s/early 80s and I’ve still got a lot boxed up under the stairs basically doing sod all, apart from my Albion ones I’ve got plenty of cup finals/internationals etc from the 50s/60s/70s all in mint condition.
I expected over the years they might be worth a few bob however checking eBay and the selling groups on Facebook they’re not worth a toss, plenty of Wembley finals from 50 years ago being offered for about a quid.
In this digital age my son has shown little interest in the printed programmme so it’s probably safe to say that my collection will ultimately go the same way as yours

I have bought some display books and saved one programme from each season, I also bought programmes from eBay to fill in the gaps for seasons I didn’t buy one.
Also decided to buy one for each season for games before my time, went back to 1954, they got expensive before then. Picked them up on eBay for £1 and £2 each. This was several years back so not sure how much really old programmes cost now.
