He feels almost like the last serious person in power we had. I was reading recently that the last time poverty consistently fell in this country was in the first half of the first Brown/Blair government. Between 2009 and 2018 this country saw the biggest year on year drop in real terms income adjusted for inflation since 1938 and somehow blamed the EU.

This is now the modern Conservative Party, and likely will be for the next 20 years. Blah blah vegans blah blah trans rights blah blah Brexit was a huge success under us and Labour are doing it wrong, blah blah Trump is our special friend, blah blah, Liz Truss was betrayed by the pinkos at the Bank of England blah blah.
Just an endless stream of horse shit aimed at those stupid enough to believe a word. I genuinely fear Reform more than the modern Conservative Party, we know what they’ll do once they’re in power, but Reform are at least saying the right things to get into power.
Reform are playing a long game, targeting youth media (e.g. tik tok) knowing that the youth don’t vote, but that the young get older and start voting. If they persist unchallenged over a number of years, their voter base will continue to grow faster than our incumbent parties would like.
The Conservatives are still primarily targeting the “ex-Brigadier in Tunbridge Wells” vote.
