I read some of those posts and think that people can't really be that stupid. Unfortunately Brexit, Johnson, Farage and Trump are all significant proof to the contrary
Or some can't handle other people differing opinions?

What makes your opinion correct and others wrong? Who made you judge a jury?

Edit: You forgot Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate on that list.

Well you've made such a good, fact based, detailed and well thought out case of why Brexit, Johnson, Farage, Trump, Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate have been so good for Britain and the world, and not the very epitome of f***wittery that it's certainly made me reconsider.

I think that maybe you're mixing up some terms

Opinion
/əˈpɪnjən/
noun
a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
"that, in my opinion, is right"

What would make an opinion Valid

Valid
/ˈvalɪd/
adjective
of an argument or point) having a sound basis in logic or fact; reasonable or cogent.
"a valid criticism"

Would be some Facts

Fact
/fakt/
noun
a thing that is known or proved to be true.
"he ignores some historical and economic facts"

Hope this helps

Think you need to go and check your facts.

Show me anywhere on this board i have made such a good, fact based, detailed and well thought out case?

For the record my stance is the following:

Johnson, Farage, Trump, Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate = C*nts

Brexit = Total Shambles

I will accept the apology if you're man enough to give me one.

Hope this helps 😉

I thought it was perfectly clear from my post that, in answer to your question below

Or some can't handle other people differing opinions?

I will perfectly happily accept Opinions that are Validated by Facts.

Differing opinions that aren't valid, ie not based on fact or knowledge I will call out. And what exactly do you think I should be 'man enough' to apologise for :cheery:

You really don't like the idea of other people minimising their spending on American products do you ? I really can't imagine why ???

I couldn't care less what people do with their lifes. Live and let live is my moto.

I just find it very two faced people only stop using certain things and accepting other things to do with the USA.

My definition of a boycott means to stop buying or using the goods or services of a certain company or country as a protest,
Otherwise it's being selective and not a boycott. That's has been my point all along. Like I suggested, maybe the thread title needs changing.

Your accusing statement was:

"Well you've made such a good, fact based, detailed and well thought out case of why Brexit, Johnson, Farage, Trump, Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate have been so good for Britain and the world, and not the very epitome of f***wittery that it's certainly made me reconsider."

I asked you to show me where I have done this and you have failed to provide the evidence?

So for the second time please provide the evidence, if you can't then you should be man enough to say you made a mistake and confused me with some one else. We all make mistakes.

You won't though and you will just double down.

Says more about you than me..

I've long had a fascination with American culture and we've been very fortunate to take many of our family holidays there. But, right now, we feel no desire to return. Rather we would like to "reward" somewhere like Canada with our tourist Pounds if we have the opportunity to do so. It's a small gesture, obviously - the US tourism industry won't collapse because we don't visit, but lots of small gestures compound. It sends a message which will be heard. In fact it already is:
easiest 5 pound ever

@WATFORD zero I take that as you can't show me as you didn't reply?

Come on, back up your statement.

I can't believe I'm having to explain this, but you started by quoting my post here accusing me of not listening to differing opinions.

I read some of those posts and think that people can't really be that stupid. Unfortunately Brexit, Johnson, Farage and Trump are all significant proof to the contrary

Edit: You forgot Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate on that list.

So I pointed out that I would listen to opinions that had validity and call them out when they haven't. I replied here, helpfully pointing out what actually made an opinion valid and that you quite clearly hadn't given any facts, detail or thought to the opposing opinions you thought I should be listening to. And asking me to add Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate. (It's called sarcasm).

Hope this helps

You then went off into one.. Hope this helps

Maybe we can now let this thread get back to the basic topic of how some people want to minimise spending on US products because of what Trump has done and others, that for whatever reason, patently don't want that to happen
