I think I saw something the other day that said he'd been relegated for three different teams.
I tell thee, that boy be cursed.

but I'd still have him here.
The truth is, he's too good for a relegation threatened side, but not good enough for a title chasing one. A mid table team is going to pick him up

Sussex but not by the sea
Sell and buy Kelleher from Liverpool.
He has no more presence than Bart, and IMO that is Bart's biggest weakness right now, but one that can/will improve over time. The team as a whole have been accussed lately of playing with a bit fear and of being too scared to make a mistake that they don't take enough risks. I think Bart falls inot this category a bit.

The truth is, he's openly said he can't concentrate for 90 minutes. That's a massive flaw in a team that uses a GK like we do.

"If you ask me to concentrate on a game of football for 90 minutes, I'm finished. I can't do it.

So that's why I get involved with the fans and I'll sing along with the songs. Someone is giving me abuse and i'll turn round and give them a bit back.

I've had my two or three minutes of madness in my head and then straight back to the football. I've got 10/15 minutes of pure concentration again.

Next thing you know, half time is around."

That said, maybe that's because at Arsenal, they were in possession for much of the game and he didn't have much to do?

So I think a team like us would pick him up?
More likely he'll go to a team that buy established Premier League teams.

Even more likely he'll just stick around with Southampton and bounce up again.

No. Why are we all discussing whether to bring in Ramsdale if Bart leaves? We've got Rushworth. It's succession planning - we're quite good at it! (and if Rushworth moves on to a "bigger" club after a couple of seasons, Beadle will probably be ready by then)

What I was suggesting was that we are not a title chasing club but a mid table club.
So therefore as suggested, we would be the type of club that would buy him because we are one of the mid table clubs.

I wasn't suggesting that we would actually buy him.
I guess I wasn't clear enough.

That’s a nice thought but not sure Rushworth, Steele and Beadle fill me with confidence as our squad keepers for next season.

I've watched Beadle a couple of times this season and whilst that isn't a very big sample size I can't say I was very impressed on either occasion. I don't have a view on Rushworth because I'm not sure I've ever seen him play.

Exactly. Much too early to chuck them in the very deep end of the EPL.

He's jinxed, Arsenal the only team he hasn't relegated and they're not allowed to go down.

Steele? No - a bloody good no.2 though. Rushworth - one of the best keepers in the Championship last season; no qualms about him at all. Beadle - has hit a drop off in form lately, but is a superb shot-stopper (so of no interest to RDZ, obviously, but Fab is a bit less obsessed with sweeper keepers I think; after all, stopping shots is what loads of GKs seem to do, all too regularly, against us!) and still young and learning; again, no qualms long term (in two or three years time).

Most of this season I don’t think Bart has done any better than Steele would have done.

Hypothetical I know but with Steele in goal for the q/f we MAY have got through….

I think most goalkeepers are probably like this to be honest. He was just silly enough to say it out loud.
