Exactly. We were going to the US next year. We're now going to Canada.

Apologies if it’s been mentioned but anyone worked out how we boycott the Albion yet?

American express contract/stadium? Yeah I did wonder if all the virtual signalers was going to boycott the American Express Community Stadium.

So far I've done very well. No Amex card, no visits to Amex Stadium. How about a new un-American sponsor?

American Express aren't the owners of the stadium, so a boycott does them no harm whatsoever.

You could obviously stop using an Amex card, which would result in loss of income, but then you'd also have to not use a Visa or Mastercard for the same reasons and it'd be a real personal hinderence. This is an example of it not being realistically practicable for a total boycott of US products; it is however possible in many cases where there are practical alternative products/services.

I think we should start boycotting explaining this to people who continue to ask the same daft questions after it's been explained over and over.

I phoned support services earlier, the recorded voice was American so I put the phone down immediately based on this thread. I'm wondering how to approach changing my number plate for the parking on Saturday. Maybe I could go the stadium and squint so I don't see the word American everywhere and just about make it to speak to someone about this issue who isn't American? Can we even say the word American on this thread? Tricky times.

It must be hard having outed yourself as a Trump fan last November.

Why not ignore the thread and let the adults have their conversation rather than being deliberately obtuse about a perfectly reasonable political stance being taken in what is a free country?

It's about being pragmatic, isn't it?

It would probably be impossible for any of us to live a life where we didn't directly or indirectly consume physical products that had US corporate involvement somewhere along the line. The same with services including financial and digital.

There'll be many elements that make this very website operate that will have been supplied by US technology companies. I'm not going to stop using NSC...

I've long had a fascination with American culture and we've been very fortunate to take many of our family holidays there. But, right now, we feel no desire to return. Rather we would like to "reward" somewhere like Canada with our tourist Pounds if we have the opportunity to do so. It's a small gesture, obviously - the US tourism industry won't collapse because we don't visit, but lots of small gestures compound. It sends a message which will be heard. In fact it already is:

What if they were Canadian? Can you tell the difference?

The market will soon be flooded with second hand iPhone's, Mac's and Samsung's.
Come on, don’t keep us in suspense, IPhone’s. Mac’s and Samsung’s what?

Is the tracker produced on Excel?

I was going to suggest moving to Post It notes but they’re owned by 3M who in turn is beneficiary owned by Vanguard

Support Services op: “sigh, it’s that Giraffe guy again”
Colleague: “Just pretend to be an automated voice and ask him to call back later”

Yep, that will teach those Americans to mess with Albion fans.
