Is it not 18/4....ta for the heads up....Acts of Faith vinyl? I'm confused.
Just realised this was released last year. Doh. It’s the physical release which is about to come out

Apologies for the confusion.

I got excited and assumed it was a completely new album.

The new Black Country New Road album is just what I was looking for as I’ve been a bit disappointed so far this year. With three different female vocalists it’s far removed from the Athens, France days so I wasn’t expecting much however I can’t stop playing it at the moment.
Two Horses is my stand out at this early stage.

Have enjoyed it so far, but still hasn't quite reached the heights of when Isaac was in the band.

I've really enjoyed the latest courting album recently and the New Welly album. Turnstile realised a new single ahead of a new album, and liked what I've heard so far from the new Blondshell album. New music from Stereolab as well, which is welcome. Divorce and Bdrmm are a couple of other decent albums I've liked this year as well.

I found it rather flat to be honest. Maybe I need to give it another try....and maybe not listen to it after the new Snapped Ankles long player.

A few albums I have been enjoying are Perfume Genius, Panda Bear is nice and sunny as expected, and Spellling which is a rockier outing than you usually get from her. I also mix my daily music listening up with classics from the past and have recently been on the Beta Band back catalogue and Silver Apples.

3 gigs in six days on Friday: Snapped Ankles, Zement and William Basinski so will also need to revise for these :)

You can never get bored of music, right?

Very much enjoyed the Snapped Ankles Long Player, added to the glastonbury lineup last week, so looking forward them.

Five tracks from February and March

Infinity Knives & Brian Ennals - The Iron Wall

Part protest, part can't give a shit anymore hip hop.

aya - off to the ESSO

Unhinged, desperate and in panic as the drugs wear off and a trip to the all night garage beckons.

Lael Neale - Tell Me How To Be here

Distant and disorientated helped along by Neale's maudlin voice, melodic mellotron and ambient tape loops.

Y - Why

The sax sets the groove for this fast paced debut single

Stealing Sheep - Alright

Cover versions work for me, when they do something completely different to the original. This is a great example, Stealing Sheep return after a few years silence to completely reimagine Supergrass' finest moment.

Pulp's new album, More will be released on 6 June, and is dedicated to Pulp's former bassist Steve Mackey, who died in 2023, at the age of 56.

This is such a lovely song.
