Or if you cant then find a stand up coffee and cannoli cafe for the proper experience
I haven't drank coffee for about 5 years but after such an early start I think it would be a good time to start again!

Five of us stayed here for the Roma match:
Charme & Chic San Giacomo

Highly recommend. Worked out as £50 per person per night at the time we stayed. Some lovely cafe's nearby too.
Right smack by the Spanish Steps, Villa borghese park/gardens and walkable to everything. You can do 80% of the big sights and attractions on foot from here. Which is the best way to do it anyway. Wonderful city.

They have no availability on the date, 2 nights is £1k

I've just booked Vatican Rooms Haven on Bookiing.com. A mile away from the centre, it's a suite so has a living room. It has good reviews. It's cost a princely sum of €106 inc breakfast. There was a getaway discount & another discount. I paid the £4.71 for insurance that probably covers nothing but it mentioned travel disruption & as we're flying with Ryanair I thought may as well.

So for 2 days, 1 night it Rome it's cost approx £350 for 3 adults. £150 for a cab to Stansted (approx) as no one wants to (understandably) take us there that early, leaves us £500 for Rome itself!! 😁 I'm ignoring the voice in my head saying 'If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!'. There's a campsite 4 miles away anyway! :lolol:

Wow.. that's some mark-up (more than double) from only 13 months ago! Very grateful I got it for what I did.
New booking sounds great and the whole trip a bargain. Enjoy!
