[Albion] Club cancelling ST due to non-attendance

I agree to a certain extent. I buy a season ticket with the intention of attending 19 games. I don't believe I'm shitting on fellow fans when I only end up attending 14 or 15.sometimes work gets in the way for me and when it does my ticket always goes on the exchange and always sells. I'm gutted I'm not going on Saturday because I had something scheduled. I went to take my ticket off the exchange and it had already sold.

If you are unable to attend some games how come one is denying a fan the benefit of a ST. In last 2 years have not heard of anybody unable to get a ST . There is not a waiting list and tickets are available every game. Even Everton game Sat 3pm KO and just 3 days before 500 tickets available
Fair enough club want tickets on exchange so they can make £20/30 not because they want less empty seats.. There were far less empty seats when able to pass ticket on
My comment was more aimed at the attitude of others, not you guys. More those who are cherry picking games and now coming up with ridiculous scenarios as to why they might not be able to attend all the required games. There are stories on here about seats being empty for most of the season. If you are deliberately doing this, or even unintentionally, other fans are being denied. It might be the case that everyone who wants a season ticket can have one, no idea. But even if this is the case, fellow fans might be denied seats in nicer areas by these actions and attitudes.

Bottom line is, I just think it's wrong to have a season ticket and not fully utilise it.

Interestingly I noticed there is a seat in N1A available tomorrow with a * over it meaning it can be sold at a concession rate - whether that means its an original unsold seat or a concession seat that is on the exchange I don't know, first time I have seen this

As I have said there are now tickets available for every game. I see match day tickets are £70 in EU. Surely only tourist or occasional visitors can justify this. We have an ex Brighton resident staying for weekend who thought of going but baulked at price.
Yep . Although games eventually sell out tickets are normally available especially if you're a A+ or if you don't mind the full price when tickets are available on the Exchange. But there are much better offers. eg: Season ticket holders can now buy tickets for guests for Chelsea. in the PL They are also available to anyone with previous purchase history (so not A+ members) . They start at £47. Tickets for Bournemouth are now available for general sale . They start at £33.

This is cock-up followed by conspiracy to ignore cock-up, rather than conspiracy.
Nobody is questioning the right of Leeds to withdraw the privilege of a season ticket for a defined reason.
Although I would imagine someone will be along in a minute to do exactly that :lolol:

(From now on I recommend taking a photo of oneself with the scoreboard behind me and email it to myself thereby date stamping it.)

I would imagine there is at least one club that imagines that there are thousands of season ticket holders,
spending hours on a Saturday faking and photoshopping pictures purporting to show them attending games,
When they could have been at the actual f***ing game. Or have put their ticket in exchange in a tenth the time. The bastards.

Better than my idea

I ordered a bright yellow Napapirji rainforest jacket to prove my attendance at games but the club claim this isn’t unique enough….

A passport style photo booth in The Terrace where, for just a fiver, you can have your 'kidnap victim in The Sweeney' mugshot done with a copy of today's Guardian.
Come on Barbs, it's a winner.

Talking of which...

What do we reckon - face ID installed at The Amex (for "fans’ convenience") within 5 years?!

If it does come, I hope the screen are higher, as it looks like even if you are 5ft tall, you are still bending over to be seen by the screen.

That is exactly how you enter Universal Studios in Orlando now.

You don’t present a ticket, just stand in front of a camera that verifies you and lets you in almost instantaneously.

As you imply, there is tremendous upside to the ticket issuer in terms of making ticket-sharing pretty much impossible.

Burner phones won’t cut it, you’ll need to be able to do the Face/Off thing to get someone else in.

They trialed this 'unique face recognition' software at Hibs last sesason.

All was going swimmingly until Nicola Sturgeon and Wee Jimmy Krankie attempted to enter the stadium simultaneously via different turnstiles, causing the system to freeze and fall over.

There must be a tipping point where you think this just isn’t worth the aggro. I’ve paid in good faith and now you are accusing me wrongly of non attendance. The way clubs are treating fans is disgraceful. Drop down to league 1 and it can happen quickly for the unlucky clubs the message will be ‘ we need your support more than ever ‘. 🙄
