Are you listening to him wanking himself off about Palace?

Yep, we pay his wages of course he calls us “we”, doesn’t mean he supports us and certainly doesn’t sound like it to me

Not just on this game either, I’ve thought the same on past Palace vs Brighton games that he’s commented on

Commentators often praise and speak well of the team that is winning. Against Palace that is very rarely us, so it will seem to you that he is masturbating to Crystal Palace whereas in reality he's just doing what commentators do, telling what the winning team did well and what the other team did poorly.

He's a shite commentator but the idea that his commentary is pro-Palace comes from your own bias.

No ref thread today, weird...
Made one incredibly bad decision when Mitoma was fouled making a pass and he gave the foul against our winger. Breathtakingly incompetent that

Are we Spursy?

Spursy

New Word Suggestion
A Spursy performance, is to have success in reach but to ultimately chuck it away.
No.
Spursy is to expect a top 4 finish.
And then not finish top 4.
After the CEO has sold the best player, and given himself yet another pay rise.

Indeed he’s just reflecting the current commentary fad to praise Palace - there’s a lot of groupthinking in that job. Doesn’t Glenn still live in Brighton (unless he’s moved recently)

They are winning a lot of games, thats why they get a lot of praise. It really isn't that complicated.

Right now Warren is a far better judge of players than I ever could be but listening to the post match analysis and phone in I was struck by how negatively Warren viewed our performance today I thought we played quite well had our share of chances but were beaten by two good goals and I didn’t see any Brighton players strutting around and not putting in a shift.
Warren did mention however that some players failed to so appreciation to the travelling supporters now I didn’t see that but it appears to have incensed Warren and I would be interested what anyone witnessed and views.

i guess we must have been nothing special for approaching 10 games now?

I got some laughing emojis when I suggested that Palace were going to draw close to us on their present form.

The only saving grace is they have some tough matches coming up whilst we have very 'winnable' ones

But that's just 'on paper'.

Now I've calmed down with a small glass of red, I'd proffer that attitude was pretty much fine, aptitude however may be a different proposition.

I think he’s a good pundit but pretty bad as a co-commentator.

He’s far too chatty and full of sound bites and cliches.

Really distracting from the game.

If Palace finish above us then they will deserve it. They have a horrendous run in compared to ours , plus extra games and points to make up. But I guess we could implode like last season and let them sneak up by them beating Spurs and Wolves.

We are such a poor progressive side when Dunk plays. He killed the game.

I'm a bit more confident. Last season Albion were in perpetual decline in the second half of the season. Only the relegated sides performed worse. This season has been a lot more balanced. My feeling is that the race for Europe may come down to the number of places afforded. The only match that looks worrying 'on paper' is Liverpool. But even then, they should have won the league by that point. In fact, all eight are winnable. In theory.

Warren always had a thing about players not going to acknowledge the support. He always had a go at Maupay who used to run straight to the tunnel

What about our shit defence without Webster and now JPVH?

The decision to give a free kick against Mitoma when we had a dangerous attack was pretty awful. They scored shortly after that.

The sending offs were all correct although Guehi arguably could have had a straight red card for his challenge.
I think 'dangerous attack' is questionable here. We had the ball and were approaching their area and had about the same number of players as them. Whether that actually means we were really posing a danger is another matter altogether given our usual five stages we go through after being in similar positions that before we might see if we can get a shot away.
