Good first day back in the top division.
Nice to look on the cricket section of the BBC sport page and not have to scroll down to Division 2 to see the Sussex score too.

With 6 more Championship games before June for Somerset, could Banton actually join the '1000 First Class runs before the end of May' club? It's only been done twice post war by Glenn Turner in 1973 and Graeme Hick in 1988.

He's more of a white ball player really. I wouldn't expect him to achieve it. Graeme Hick managed to do it because of his 405 against Somerset that May.
I saw him play in a match at Northampton around that time. He was still qualifying. One of the best batsman I've seen. Just seemed to shrivel up in an England shirt.
