I just went to delete a couple of posts (Scandi artists who turn out to not be Scandi at all) and found I couldn't.
Then I saw my Patron status 'badge' has disappeared.
I checked a few other posters and their patronage is status intacto.
I haven't cancelled my payments.
Would a nice moderator please look into this for me?
I won't PM Bozza because he is a busy man.

Thanks. HWT.
You sound like Luca Brasi!

Wasn’t PayPal founded by Musk?

Here's a more detailed breakdown of PayPal's ownership history:
  • 1998: Confinity Founded:
PayPal's roots lie in Confinity, a company founded by Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek, Yu Pan, Ken Howery, and Russel Simmons, focused on developing security software for handheld devices.

  • 1999: X.com/Confinity Merger and PayPal Launch:
Confinity merged with Elon Musk's online banking company, X.com, and the merged company became known as PayPal.

    • 2002: eBay Acquisition:
eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion, making PayPal the official payments provider for eBay.
    • 2015: PayPal Spin-Off:
eBay spun off PayPal into an independent company, PayPal Holdings Inc., which began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "PYPL".
    • Post-Spin-Off:
Since becoming an independent company, PayPal has focused on expanding beyond eBay and growing globally across all forms of digital commerce.
    • Current Ownership:
PayPal is now owned by its shareholders, with the largest institutional investors including Vanguard, BlackRock, and State Street Corp.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I don't think I've ever used PayPal, but then I'm an old fashioned credit card person.

I had a weird dream that I'd be given an infraction. I'd love to have one of those, just to see what it's like.

Just did a search on my Inbox for your username and I have an email from Paypal saying that your payment failed on the 1st April, and they were going to try again today.

From what I've seen with others, this typically seems to happen if they've changed cards, or had a new one issued.

Should be easily resolved by just following through the process again here:

The paypal option doesn't work as it sends OTPs to my work landline (which no longer works, not that I go in very often).
To change Paypal settings it need me to log in and to do that (you can guess the rest).
I never use paypal....

The credit card option seems to want to use Paypal as a middleman even though I selected the credit card option.

It gets to the last confirmation then messages me this:

I'm not sure I can help really.

Your interactions with PayPal are secure and only visible and accessible to you.

A couple of people who didn't want to use PayPal made a bank transfer instead - would that be easier?

An infraction ! Thank you so much. After all these years. I did chuckle to see such serious wording simply addressed to Eeyore though

Does that mean you're not allowed to speak about any dreams, or you're not allowed to talk about infractions?
That's a good point. Perhaps I should avoid the subject. And perhaps an infraction isn't so much a badge of shame as something more, shall we say, carnal in nature. No wonder some NSCers make a habit of them.
