Years ago, we played with a brilliant swedish saxophonist. Having an audience made up of a large number of EF students in Brighton, our singer asked how to introduce the next song in swedish. Apparently the literal translation of the famous Junior Well's song 'messin' with the kid' is 'interfering with the child'

That said (and I know it’s not the point of the thread) I vastly prefer rum and reggae or a bit of samba. Music produced in the cold is often just that.

Going to listen through her stuff properly some day. The things I've heard are cool, but my mum likes her stuff too much... its a psychological obstacle, but I'll get there.
