Crikey. This was a slightly difficult read for me; his story is pretty much identical to mine, my spinal cord was also compressed, albeit by an autoimmune reaction inflaming my spinal cord, leading to paralysis ..I was 5 and a half months in hospital and now I’m learning/trying to walk again. I was also fit as a butchers dog and very active. I think he probably knows a lot more about football than me though.

Wow … I had no idea HT. Wishing you all the best in your recovery. Autoimmune issues can be devastating. It’s crazy what the body can do to itself.

Thank you. Yes, the body is crazy....incredibly resiliant but equally quite fragile. Fragile in that my immune system could do so much damage....resiliant in that I can possibly retrain my nerves to bypass the damage and get better.

Was thinking of him last night as I walked past the picture of Storer scoring at Birmingham in 95. Eventful 3-3 with them having a player sent off, Munday scoring an overhead kick and them getting a late penalty. Always remember the way he steamed over to their player to send him off. We need his type of ref these days instead of the pally ones.

Wishing you all the best HT. Next season when we're back in Europe you need to be in Italy eating cow's lungs and stomach with your manbag on the table.

Just remember him being such an imposing physical figure. If I remember rightly, it was one of Storer's first games for us and they kept hacking him down.
