I thought he was nice on the ball, and passed nicely.
I made the same comment in the car on the way home.

All of his passes were played very well. if he was passing to a man on the move, the ball was perfectly weighted in front of them to run onto without breaking stride. It sounds basic, but some of our stars still get it wrong often, leading to lost momentum.

But that alone isn't going to be enough.

100%. Lovely weighted passes.

But his physique won't make it at CB in the prem.

Apart from the one he absolutely smashed at Baleba causing him to lose possession and leading to another break.

Hoped he’d do better than he did, but not surprising stepping up and stepping in after 8 weeks without a game.

Caught out horribly for the 2nd. Looked tidy in possession and accurate in distribution.
No place as 5th CB so loan him out next season. Clearly only been bought as cover. No long term future.

I think his passing was good, think he could make a good CDM, good thing we’ve got him if he can play there not like we haven’t got 6 others who can play in the midfield or anything like that.

Of the 6, who do you trust to brilliantly shield the CB’s for 90 minutes and win a stack of duals every game? Only Baleba has that. When he’s missing eg tonight or Forest away, we lose the CM battle.

Jack, but he’s forced to play Right Back because what is seemingly the case since Bruno retired in 2019, we have decided to completely ignore the right back position, and are relying on a sick note (Lampety)

Veltman is our right back.

We signed him from a team in 20th in the Championship. And I severely doubt he’s solely responsible for their *checks notes* eleven wins out of 39 games.

He’s short.
He’s slow
He’s shit

Feel free to bounce when he lifts the Champions League trophy.
You’re a toxic twat sometimes. I’d love to be able to put you on ignore.

Crikey! Give the guy a chance! Has had to wait ages for his debut and yes I am sure he's not pleased with himself after last night.
But, It's not long ago people were calling Weiffer all sorts when a potential 3-1 turned into a 2-2 draw after his misplaced pass.
I'm prepared to give Cashin more than 20 minutes or so before I pass judgement.
Hopefully he learns from harsh lessons last night.

Absolutely one of the worst pieces of business we’ve ever done, could have signed him for £3m in 2022, but had a meltdown over the fee, so signed him for £9m three years later.
If that’s a nine million pound footballer, I’m an ostrich.

All this negative posting, I prefer to look at the positives.

He is 5th choice and therefore unlikely to get game time, unless 3 other CBs are all injured or suspended at the same time.
I’m sure he’ll look at the positives from this post

The most bizarre signing in years. I seem to remember even the Derby fans laughing that we had singed him.
I'm not sure that 'laughing' is the right word, surprised and please with the fee yes, laughing no. It was my fear for him that his complete lack of pace would hamper his chance in the PL - He's played the vast majority of his football in League one, you can get away with it there.
