Right, that was a crushing defeat but I am genuinely not doom and gloom. Here is why:

- We fell behind Villa in the table but the Fulham defeat and the surprise Ipswich win an Bournemouth means not too much damage done.
- Palace dropped points at Southampton and Brentford lost so those playing catch up stay well back
- in the RDZ wonder season we lost the semi final, were exhausted and got beaten by Forest but bounced back, we will again. Tonight was a result of Saturday’s efforts.
- In that RDZ season we had a whole bunch of midweek games due to postponements. After this week we have no more midweek games so players can refresh
- our squad depth is still excellent. Look at that bench today. Get Saturday out the way and we can really motor
- If you had offered us 7 points from Fulham, Bournemouth Manchester City and Villa we would have jumped at it.
- after Palace the fixtures are a little easier. Maybe that won’t suit us but if we want Europe they do give us a good chance of points.

We can do this….

Thats a very positive spin on Palace gaining a point on Brighton tonight.

1. A devastating night for Evertonians and Arsenal plastics.

2. First bet this year. Based on no Webster and Rutter.

That was shit.
Back to where we were before the 7-0.

No intensity, terrible decision making, dreadful defending.

My fear is that Giorginio and Webster have been the biggest part of our improved form.

Hopefully a one-off and Fab can get the boys fully prepared for Saturday.
