There's nothing wrong with judging a performance. If he was shit, it's fine to say he was shit. If you've got reservations about his transfer fee, that's fine too. Stating he's money wasted after 20 minutes of football is obviously a bit hasty, but he was shit and cost us the goal that finished the game as a contest. Its not that controversial.

The pearl clutching drips like martin tyler and singing4seagulls are best ignored if their only contribution is to cry about others forming a negative opinion on a player we paid a fair bit for.

All true but I cannot bring myself to write a player off that quickly. He did look shit and “turning circle of a tanker” did not seem wrong on that performance. I really hope he doesn’t play a part in the game against Palace though

Whilst I agree with every point you make, I'm not sure Cashin was used to Paul Warne at Derby waving him up the pitch as far as he could go - which Fab was doing - leaving him awfully exposed, out of position and about as far from his comfort zone as he possibly could be on his debut.

Yeah he was shit but there are mitigating circumstances. On the other hand, I don't want to see him anywhere near the pitch against Palace.

The thing that o noticed most, was that he doesn’t physically look like an elite-level footballer. Even before kicking a ball he had the look of an East Enders actor playing in a pro-celebrity charity game.

In this day and age this was the most startling thing. You have to be seriously good at this level to compensate for his lack of height and pace.
