The issue of exchange tickets being adult price only needs sorting. Cheapest ticket tonight is 38 quid no concessions so quickly becomes very expensive for a parent and child to go IF they can find two seats together AND the transport is totally shit. You're just not going to go are you.
No, no you're not. Especially this week when every single damn corporate entity want to do a land-grab on a family's income. The Albion need to get to the back of the queue behind the council, the energy suppliers, the water companies...

Just had a look at my block. There are a couple of options where seats that can be purchased as a concession are next to other seats.

As above, it has been sorted in that if the ticket being re-listed is a concession ticket, it can be bought for a concession price. These are marked with a star on the seat map.

For some games, it may prove tricky to find a concession ticket next to an adult ticket - not an issue tonight however.

It's a significant improvement to the exchange IMO.

Quite pleased as currently there's a seat free on each side of my seats. Whilst I like my seat neighbours it would be good to have some extra room.

Same here

.....

Looking at the seat map, I am currently going to have a lot of space to spread out in WSU row A.

I might come down and join you from block H row M

I had a look at my block and my concession seat isn't listed as a concession. There are two together as well.

Not to mention Vehicle Excise Duty, which in our case has risen from £35 to £165. Thanks a bunch Jeremy Hunt!!

That's odd. I did have a look at the blocks in the North Stand (where I think you are) and couldn't see any concessions.

There are options for the poster asking the question in the family stand though.

I see those sorts of posts from people who live a lot closer to the Amex than you. Bloke called Mile Oak who says he's not going to another mid week game for example because of the trains (I bet he is and it's just a passive / aggressive social media post that might somehow make Paul Barber wave a magic wand and make the trains 8 carriages). And seemingly 4000 others. Do they all live as far away as you?

No. But lots do. A traffic or train 'event' that is an inconvenience for local fans, can be a massive, massive headache for them - genuinely to the point of considering whether it is POSSIBLE for them to attend.

We are setting off at 3pm for tonight's game. I'm lucky to be in a job that is flexible enough that I can do that - but I'm well aware many are not.

My attitude is the same as GB‘s (and I live further away than you 😉).

I don’t make all the home games because I am simply not well enough to make a 400 mile round trip on public transport each fortnight (today will be the second time in 5 days) - nor do my finances allow me to spend the £200 plus it costs me on travel and hotel (plus the often £50+ for a match ticket) but I don’t let anticipated delays on trains, road works, bad weather or who we are playing deter me from going which is the excuses I see from time to time from a few posters on this board. When they have a BN postcode and use these types of excuses, that‘s fair weather support imo.
Brilliant. Give yourself a massive pat on the back.

Not everybody's circumstances are the same as yours (or mine).

Seats near me I know that are child STH are listed as full price so not sure what the criteria is for some being concession and some being full price.

Currently, the seats on either side of mine are being used, but the two on each side of those are available to buy.

I'm sure my neighbours if they do actually show up, won't mind budging up a seat.

It's a relatively recent change.

I still reckon the ones that have a star are tickets that didn't sell, and that all re-listed tickets are only available as concession

It does seem a bit random ... but if they are tickets that haven't sold before the exchange opened (as in they are non ST seats), why would they show as concession tickets? Surely it's ST seats originally purchased on a concession basis that have the star?? Just guessing though ...
