Has Hurzuler got a press conference before the Villa game this week? If so, he will probably reveal the extent of Georgi's injury...or it could be the classic Albion injury line 'minor injury that shouldn't keep him out for too long'
He will have, yeah.

I'd assume it will be Tuesday, either 9am or 2pm - I've not had the notification yet.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see Georginio again this season. It also looks like Lamptey and Veltman may miss all the remaining games.

Did Webster pull his hamstring or was it just cramp?
Need Rutter to step up in his absence, then.

I had a look at Villas injury list. They have one player injured.

We potentially have ten:

Milner
Veltman
Ferdi
Lamptey
Igor
Steele
Webster
Rutter
Wieffer
March

Staggeringly seven of those missing could cover fullback. I fear this weekend may have done for us this season.
I think it probably has as well. Sorry all, not feeling that positive about it this morning!

It means that we're totally reliant on Hinsh and Pervis retaining 100% fitness and form as we ask the to play every minute of every match, likely for the rest of the season. Improbable

It also means we're reliant on O'Riley and / or Gruda staying fit and doing a job for us at the level Georginio was. Again, i'm not sure that's likely.

We'll probably be in a position now where we have 4 or 5 players who've never played PL football on the bench most games. We can survive that. But If the injuries keep coming at the rate they have, we'll be up to 6 or 7 u23 players on the bench and then the manager's options are severely curtailed

As expected, it looks likely Georginio and Webster will miss the rest of the season. We are certainly cementing our place at the top of the injury league table.

Bugs me that so much has been made of the injuries at Spurs and Newcastle etc but nothing is ever really said about the epidemic of injuries we've suffered this season. Apart from on here, obviously.

Why can’t Ferdi’s toe actually heal? His toe and Milners hamstring are taking longer than some ACL

I think we've been pretty high up the table for injuries for the last couple of seasons.

Is there any reason to suspect this is not just bad luck?

Fab previously mentioned he was taking advice from his team on getting more balance on the intensity of training to reduce muscle injuries but I think some of these are just bad luck and some getting used to the intensity of the league. A full pre season and everyone under no illusions of the condition they need to be in to play for this manager in this league and fingers crossed we have a better run of it next season. As forest have shown if you can keep your squad injury free and consistent you can do some pretty amazing things
