He is doing what he can for himself, if that benefits America it’s a positive side effect for him but ultimately, he is solipsistic as his comments around US car prices indicate. He is also woefully incompetent and lacks the ability for critical thinking or intellectual thought.
I don’t think he is a Russian mule he just respects bullying tactics because those are his modus operandi.

I'm not sure that many people have recently realised this. Like you say, most here will have know for years, but his followers in the US still think he's the messiah. He's not the messiah, he's an idiot.

Allegedly the plan is based upon the 22nd ammendment which states a president cannot be "elected" for more than 2 terms, they argue there's nothing legally to stop putting Vance down as the "elected" President or any other stalking horse candidate, with Trump as VP (which is a non elected presidential appointement) and as soon as Vance/stalking horse is sworn in, he resigns which would legally make the VP....i.e Trump President (but not "elected" as such).
Then Trump resigns himself just before term ends, and finds another vote puppet get Trump candidate.
Legal brains seem to cite it is a loophole and could be done like that?
