We were the 16th best team over the last 30 games in the league. The hopes were bollocks.

Not that it matters much now... of course we would have had a good chance of beating them. Imagine it would have been very similar to what we saw tonight.

It's part of whether you enjoy the season or not. You enjoy the season more if you're in the top and and tail off, than if you're crap all season and suddenly survive at the end. I read the posts all season from Brighton fans who were happy, and Palace fans who were unhappy. In the last few weeks they were a bit happier and we were miffed with how it ended with RDZ, but we spent most of the season happy. And we had our European tour, which was great, and will always be something positive to look back on.

Villa really are bang in form at the wrong time for us. Won 8 and drawn 2 in their last 10 games in all comps. The 2 draws were 1st 2 games so 8 wins on the bounce now.
