Why do people feel the need to turn on our players after a loss. In the last couple of pages we have coated Adingra, Gruda, Hinshelwood, even João Pedro and Mitoma are In the firing line.

We lost to a really good team who played better than us on the night because we were not at our best. We probably need to take this one on the chin and move on. It's not the refs fault, it's not any one players fault, it just didn't happen for us.
That’s football message boards for you…..people messaging their views about footballers, and being disappointed when their team loses.

Nuno plays exactly the type of football we always struggle against.
It was exactly the draw we didn't want.

It wasn't to be.
Very disappointing, but the boys have done us proud, winning well againsty difficult opponents on the way.

Chin up and onto the next challenge

Very true, I guess it just takes people different lengths of time to move on.

Carry on all.

Forest are riding the crest of a wave right now and brimming with confidence. It showed…
They are an excellent side and third in the premier league for a reason. Their defence is as strong as any in the division and they are a strong, physical, well drilled unit.
We may not have been at our best yesterday and for sure, some of our better players had off days but Forest are a bloody good side. Hats off to them.
Our day will undoubtedly come though

When will our day come ? It seems to me our club can’t win any big match against a decent side , from play off matches to cup semi and quarter finals

We’ve had, at best, three seasons in our entire history when we can be termed an elite club! Yesterday was an opportunity missed but we were playing a club with a settled (very injury-free) squad at the top of their particular game who hammered us 7-0 a few weeks ago and are double European champions in many of our lifetimes. Resilience required for Wednesday.

Bloody hell mate, winning stuff is bloody hard from outside the big six. We are doing all right, keep your pecker up and enjoy the ride.

This is literally the best period in our history and we are still on the up (improvement around this bis is going to be slower), try to enjoy it though.

This. Best defensive set up I’ve seen for an extremely long time. Thought we’d beat them. They’re a very good side.
Let's be honest we were pretty close to snatching a goal on a few occasions. It may be my blue and white specs but I thought we had the better chances.

The in-the-moment messages are all part of the emotion that makes it the game we love. Some in-game or post-game posts age badly, some are ridiculous, some predict the future. It’s all part of the fun.
NSC is all the better for not being an extension of the club’s PR machine.

That last sentence is very true.

I think we played to try to win, Forest played not to lose. Everyone knew they'd win a penalty shoot out.

In the 'good old days' it was all done and dusted in 2 hours in the pub after the game, read the Arsegas on Monday and move on. . . . Now it lingers, forever. Unhealthy, but thats modern life.

completely agree about the PR bit!

Winning the FA Cup and qualifying for Europe via the league were 2 pretty big asks for a rookie manager and a fairly young team. A lot of our players came in recently whereas as Forest have players that have played together a fair while. It showed in the defence which I thought was immense. They are not third in the league for nothing. At least it wasn’t 7 again. We move on, I hope.

And without their two best forwards.
They were there for the taking yesterday but still found a way.

Worryingly Palace play in much the same way, I hope we bin gung ho football, sit deep and try and hit them on the break at Selhurst, or settle for an attritional dull draw. We have struggled against Forest and Palace this season. I hope Hurzeler can adjust our tactics when we go to Palace or we are likely to come back with nul point.

If we set up to let them break against us we’ll lose again. Fulham played much like us yesterday and got blown away….

Is it 'bad loser syndrome' or psychological 'self medicating' that causes me to now just ignore FA Cup media coverage?
