It’s a real shame the thought into The Terrace wasnt more family orientated but towards the younger person that presumably drinks more spends more . Yes I know no one is excluded per se but Mum Dad and a couple of young kids all stood eating food and drinking. I have not been there yet but a mate did with press and the aforementioned was the feedback. I wasn't expecting a stadium to be built outside the stadium but looking at it from the outside it always looked very small. Now I know why it. Sardines in a terrace. Only that's not the food on offer. Maybe when the partitioning is taken down it'll appear and of course look bigger and better. I hope Im proved completely wrong with egg on my face but nah a full English wont be on the menu. Snack before match, eat in the City later.
Why do you think the terrace has been marketed towards a young crowd?” There’s something for pretty much everyone on the food and drink menu and plenty of seating?

Not seeing the issue, give it a chance maybe?

I agree but for me the fact that they have put a them and us section in turns it from a fans place to go into a customer venue. Okay put some exclusively in if they feel it necessary for non match day events but not on a match day
Probably other people have said this - not ploughed through the whole thread. I think some of the complaints about the Amex section are over the top. Amex are no different to any other credit card. Most people can get one. They do this at a whole load of places, like the O2 and special events. As a company that pours a lot of money into the club, it seems a pretty logical and mutually beneficial tie-in to me.

Other places, you can get special deals if you have a Mastercard, or ticket presales if you have an O2 mobile. It's really not that unusual. If it bothers people that much, apply for an Amex card, use it in the Terrace, problem solved. No obligation beyond that.

I don't work for Amex (unlike a lot of people here - I assume, being from Brighton) but have had one for a long time and must say it's always scored really highly on the customer service front when there have been issues with retailers.

And don't forget the 5 chunky chips in that tiny bucket will be 'double cooked' and the even smaller pot of ketchup will cover the end of one chip if you are lucky :(
Chips double-cooked to make up for the burger, which will be 'rare' (i.e. as it's not a steak, all the bugs on the outside have been chopped into it, guaranteeing the shits for a few days).

Locked out of app already, says I am already registered, just login as normal. Do that and says unsuccessful, sends me an email saying too many attempts.
Ffs going to spoons.
All sorted now.
Mrs Pliny in a new personal best. Sorted it for be in less than 2 mins.
Seriously. The quickest way was to click the link in the 1st paragraph which I missed.

Am reasonably relaxed about order drink/food online but my god that is not a user friendly registration process. Passwords different to the club app, weird comms implying your are logging into the chef site, an activation code straight into junk mail and a weird 2025 password...hope tomorrow goes slicker, feel a bit sorry for the staff but presumably the ramp up events went well. Eek!

I will remortgage my home and try the food once just to say I’ve had it… if I can even get in tomorrow.

I have been using Chase as our main card because they were giving 1% cash back. But they have been reducing the cash back maximum for a while and now have restricted which purchases apply.
So, I looked around for a decent alternative. Found that the best option is an amex card ! No fee card which is giving 5% cash back for five months before dropping to 0.5% to 1% depending on total annual spend.
So, I certainly wouldn't have got an amex card just to get upstairs in the terrace but now will have one anyway...

I hope this goes well, makes the club money and people who use it enjoy it.

I'm also delighted to ascertain from this thread that all the concourses will be fully staffed and stocked in the ground tomorrow for those of us who don't go to The Terrace. Sodexo have got this.

So do you have to pay via your phone with google pay or apple pay or can you just pay with your card?

(Confused old man)
You can...

- Queue and pay a human old-skool style (card only)
- Use a touchscreen
- Use your phone

I'd use your phone if you possibly can.

I couldn't figure out how to register in the Albion app, but I saw someone on here mention the "everyday" app, so I just installed that instead and use Apple registration (Google also an option) so no need to type in details nor set up a password etc.

This is it for iPhone:
