Just far enough away from LDC
I love holidaying in the Caribbean - jamaica AI for example can be similar to doing AI in europe price wise. One of the fun things to see is how Canadians try and make sure everybody knows they're not from USA (wearing maple leaf on everything for example).

I do wonder what the atmosphere will be like now. Often the yanks (and given these are the enlightened minority that have passports) seem to have no concept of the world outside their borders. Not everyone has their brand of alcohol that they can't live without (whaddya mean they only have red stripe - where's the budweiser?), don't understand why the ketchup isn't heinz etc etc etc

I'm lucky to have travelled to various parts of US for work and have met some great people, seen some great sites but also have witnessed a way of life that seems unbalanced and how little the average us citizen (even educated ones) know of the wider world. I've posted on here before about their view of brexit, gaza etc and how it's so different from the view we live, breath and see on our media

Even better, similar value AI resorts in Cuba where there won’t be any Americans :lolol:

Had to go to DC a couple of weeks ago for work. Seems like there is very, very little support for Trump there. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I did buy myself a MAGA hat as a souvenir though.

Why would I not go on holiday to the USA just because their President is a bit of an idiot? Using those criteria I would find it hard to find any country to visit. And for sure no one would visit the UK while Starmer was in charge.

Love the US. In Nashville last month, going to Vegas in June. Just avoid all political conversations - Uber drivers in particular are very keen, but I don’t get drawn in.

Lefties they don't mind the the mass shootings at the shopping mall, being mugged by a crazed fentanyl addict, or being in the middle of a drive by attack between the bloods and crips........But Donald trump no not going 🙄
Yeah because gun rights and promoting drug use are top of the 'lefties' agenda  :ROFLMAO:

Hate Trump (obviously) but love most things about the US in general. No plans to go in the near future, but that's more circumstances of other plans and commitments rather than a desire not to go.

Worthing
Pre Trump 2 (the final horror). I had a very successful trip to New Orleans. Wonderful food, great people, and much partying, though Bourbon Street can get messy. Would I go now? probably not. Immigration was, as I have always found, polite and efficient. Think I will wait until things settle down, still have Wrigley Field and a good cross country Amtrack adventure on the bucket list.

I can’t have morphine so on my last operation I had a Fentanyl pump for recovery all it does is knock you out for hours no particular high. They then switched me to liquid Oxy which was a very relaxing experience I was off my tits for a few days 😁

I might try a White Lotus resort instead. They look fun.

I had a look at the latest one, Four Seasons in Ko Samui, just £2,100 a night.
I might try the Italian one, 2000 a night with Aubrey Plaza is worth it.
