It was.I'm assuming it was the event last Friday evening.

It is mad that in this world of awareness around lifestyle choices that some bars continue to offer such abysmal choice for the non alcohol drinker. Ah well.View attachment 199071Awful stuff. Can't they provide anything else that is alcohol free or low alcohol?
Don't discount Orchard Thieves. Not tried Symonds Founders Reserve - sounds decent....although not surprising given it's the choice from the Heineken range inside the stadium.
Which has prompted me to see what else they have...
- Strongbow
- Scrumpy Jack
- Bulmers

- Woodpecker (who knew this was still a thing?)
I'm no great fan of Strongbow, but I'd have it over Inches any day.
Scrumpy Jack is the winner there though.
I get the new fan zone, good on the club and look forward to being there Saturday but as you say the choices for someone who would like a low / alcohol beer due to driving but limited to Heineken piss is pretty poor on the club.It is mad that in this world of awareness around lifestyle choices that some bars continue to offer such abysmal choice for the non alcohol drinker. I remain sceptical that this new bar isn't just going to cause those who drink in the stadium bowl post match to migrate to the fanzone instead, causing enormous queues and no material difference to pressure on trains. Beyond that though, looks like the club have built a bloody good facility that those lucky enough to get in will make the most of. It's nice seeing people excited about something at the Amex that isn't just the football
Really?I get the new fan zone, good on the club and look forward to being there Saturday but as you say the choices for someone who would like a low / alcohol beer due to driving but limited to Heineken piss is pretty poor on the club.
Can't find it now, but saw on one of the early timing examples that the Terrace would re-open post-match well in advance of the final whistle. Don't agree with that at all. It appears to reward early leaving
Appreciate that events have moved on since, and timings were always going to be subject to tweaks earlydoors but here's the original timings when the grand opening was going to be the Villa game. Knew I hadn't imagined it...

Strictly speaking a 90 min game plus 15 for half time that kicked off at 7:45 would finish at 9:30. Obviously they've not accounted for time added on, but I don't think the quoted timings from the club prove your claim of it reopening well in advance of the final whistle.
It re-opens shortly AFTER the final whistle.
Hope you’ve got your packed lunch and bottle of pop ready.Having seen the stupidly long queues for the simple coffee shack outside the Amex recently, and the stupidly long queues for Dick's Bar before that, the Terrace queue will be three times longer and three times more worth swerving. Will save meself for the crowd-controlled ticketed Palace beamback thanks for asking. The Amex matchday experience just got better by yet more queueing - said no one ever![]()
You don’t. It’s brought to you by a buxom fraulein from Munich carrying ten steins of Heineken’s finest in each hand. Enjoy! How do you get through the queue to pick it up?

At least you’re sitting down - that’s ever so slightly better than standing up, or sitting on a rather ‘moist’ North Stand concourse floor post match. That last picture doesn’t look very appealing, especially if you are sat at one of those benches.
Would be a refreshing change.- Woodpecker (who knew this was still a thing?)
You’ve obviously never sampled the delights of Watney’s Red Barrel then.I get the new fan zone, good on the club and look forward to being there Saturday but as you say the choices for someone who would like a low / alcohol beer due to driving but limited to Heineken piss is pretty poor on the club.
Bottle top removed already in anticipationHope you’ve got your packed lunch and bottle of pop ready.![]()
Wonder if there will be a period post-match when both will be open?At least you’re sitting down - that’s ever so slightly better than standing up, or sitting on a rather ‘moist’ North Stand concourse floor post match.
If the food was like before fans/away fans could take it away walk around the ground etc, if the terrace is full with drinkers by 1pm then surely there won’t be that many food sales.
There needs to be a collection hatch outside facing and loads of picnic style benches and covered gazebos scattered around IMO. If it's not tipping it down you could encourage up to 10k fans to rock up early and enjoy some food and beers.
Yes. Understand why its Heineken Zero but these days there's so much choice and good quality AF out there. Although i think they are also selling Guinness Zero.Really?
Not sure what the average volume of low alcohol beer sales are, but I'd suspect it's not high.
There are plenty of other alternatives for people driving.
