He was interviewed on Talksport not so long ago and it was a very hard listen. Cancer had impacted him a great deal

RIP.

I know little about racing but he always seemed great fun and an entertaining gent. Music lover as well.

RIP

He could be a bit of a <bleep> at times, but he was a constant for a huge chunk of my time watching F1 - as a team owner, then as a TV pundit. Always enjoyed listening to his insights and the rumours he'd be able to dig up - famously being the first to call the Hamilton to Mercedes switch.

Sad news. That Belgian GP when Hill won Jordan's first race was a classic, with the iconic image of EJ skipping down the pitlane.

Sad news. RIP Eddie

(Not checked to see, but has Jake Humphrey made it about him, yet?)
From the Guardian

Presenter Jake Humphrey, who worked alongside Jordan at the BBC, posted on social media: “Utterly devastated. EJ has left us. Formula One won’t see the likes of Eddie ever again where a guy with a love for racing can hustle his way into the sport and end up winning races. His greatest achievements were Mikki, Zoe, Kyle and Zak. His incredible 4 kids who share his spirit. His wife Marie is one of the strongest, most wonderful women I have ever met … Eddie lit up a room whenever he entered it. That is a lesson for us all – be the light in the room.”

Balls. RIP Eddie, a proper character from my formative years getting in to F1.

Devastated, had the privilege to meet Eddie at Silverstone and have 4 x 1:18 models of his cars (loved his Bitten Hisses logos) and a number of Jordan flags in the loft, still have an old t-shirt somewhere. RIP Eddie
