Both were given contract extensions when they werent physically up to influencing games anymore for whatever reason.
We do value an elder statesman, good guy around the dressing room, isn’t likely to do much on the pitch, type more than most.
Atm we are blessed with elder statesmen good guys who are also key players, which is ideal
