I have been watching Ted Lasso and was immediately drawn to Danny Rojas when he arrived at Richmond. Reminded me big time of Carlos Baleba with his exuberance :lolol:

Roy Kent is clearly based on Roy Keane imo

The writers have admitted as much. The bloke who played Coach Beard is one of the series creators and said when it was first released Keane was the inspiration for the Kent character.

And i saw his pace .......its Carlos Baleba !
Not a trace of doubt about my mind !
Filled in your missed words there, but apart from that, how has this song not been properly picked up yet? It's so obvious and easy to remember coz it doesn't change much from the original - a bit like the Connor GOLDson song.

Worthing
If he could add a few extra goals it would be amazing. I know he missed one atcCitybbutvthe run to get there. Didn’t see any there defensive midfielders in sight.

Interesting article on how far the guy has come.

"In short, he’s already among the most talented deep-lying midfielders in the Premier League with respect to his ball carrying, which really helps give Brighton an edge in transition. That’s important because the Seagulls have dedicated greater focus to such moments this term, with their 186 transitions – defined as attacks against an opposition who have recently lost the ball and been unable to regain their shape – reaching the penalty area seeing them rank sixth in 2024-25; that’s already four more than in the entirety of 2023-24 (rank: 17th)"

Mansfield Woodhouse, actually.

Because it's from 1967 and not the Beatles? To the younger fans who would be singing it, it would be like us oldies reviving a Perry Como number!

However, if anybody wants to try distorting the original chorus..
Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
I'm in love, I'm a believer!
I couldn't leave her if I tried.
