My lad won a Taylor made tour bag in an instagram giveaway- it was the open championship at Troon version. He carries is clubs so sold it for 300 quid.

One of my daughters won 100 quid on premium bonds that arrived on Saturday.

When I was about 7 me and my brother kept killing my sister’s crappy little marrow for the village fete competition. We marched in proudly with our giant marrow to take the prizes only for the local farmer to produce a monster about twice the size of ours. My 5 year old sister won a prize for the smallest. She was buzzing. Me and my older brother learned a lesson.

I won a kite from the comic that had “Hook Jaws” in it early 1970s.

Also, whilst on holiday on the IOW on the 70s, I won money by winning 3 out of 4 swimming races. Got banned from the 4th race for winning too much.

Many moons ago, a week before I was about to move to Japan, I won a bike from my local corner shop Managed to sell it on quick, very cheap, so wasn't a total waste.

When I was about 12 my dad won a thousand quid on spot the ball. This was early 80s. We bought a top loading vhs recorder. So exciting.

I won $1200 on the Saturday lotto over here for getting 5 of the 6 numbers.
One more correct number would have been worth $4 million.
It was nice to win it, but couldn't help thinking that it could have been more relative to the amount for just one more number, like say $10k.

That would haunt me forever, you will never get closer.
I would not bother playing the lotto again for that reason.

won football and golf comps ....won a car in lottery and when I went to collect it from the dealership they had sold it ...!! it didn't end well for them or the association that ran the lottery as they told them to sell it when some balloon walked in and " made an offer we couldn't refuse". caaants.

Today me and the Missus are off to Bordeaux for a long weekend.
Cast your mind back to the home game on 19 May last year against Man Utd, British Airways had been announced as a club partner and had hidden 4 pairs of free flights randomly around the Amex. Well as the missus put her seat down, lo and behold, she’d ‘won’ a pair of tickets. She had to choose a European destination, from Gatwick, we’ve never been to Bordeaux so that’s what she chose.

Also I’ve managed to get us invited to visit Chateau Figeac tomorrow, as huge fans of Claret this is an exciting bonus and feels like another prize. Thankfully they don’t sell their wine directly at the vineyard as it’s about €300 a bottle, at least we’ll get to try some.

I have won a number of competitions in the past ranging from several sweepstakes for major sporting events to Lyme Regis News contributor of the year in 1998.

Steve, from Selby won a notable competition recently, but what have you ever won??

Had I been aware of the opportunity to enter the competition which Steve Wadsworth won I reckon I could have beaten him to the prize with ‘Selby and Barlby Leisure Centre’.

Steve was obviously one of the Selby Elitists.
