Following on from the thrilling N1F thread, after a few years in the West upper I've moved my ST into the North Stand in N1B (at the back) for next season. What am I in for? What characters are about?

Currently in N1B moving to N1D next season.

It's decent enough. Row X upwards stand. That may change with safe standing being introduced. You'll hear the songs from NSK. Some good characters, some knobheads as well but that's life. Look out for the bloke who wears extravagant Albion gear to every match. The steward who comes up once or twice a half is fine, nor is he arsed about people bunching up on rows as long you're not blocking the gangway.

There's better places in the ground, but far worse as well.

Thanks for the reply!
Can I ask why you're moving to N1D? Better view? My goal was also to move more centrally behind the goal but with 3 us of it made it impossible with the lack of availability in those sections. Our new seats are Row Z in N1B and pretty much next to N1C - we weren't sure on the view from there as it's probably the only part of the stadium I haven't sat in for a cup game etc.

We moved to get a bit more atmosphere, be able to sing, and to stand - the West Upper used to be a lot better, atmosphere-wise, but over the past couple of years it feels like it's quietened down a lot (probably just a stadium-wide issue though).
