Technology has made the 3pm law redundant. If you want to watch it you can find a way. Same as if you want to take drugs or watch porn.

Prohibition just puts money into criminals' pockets.

People who want 3pm matches televised want to be careful what they wish for, cos there's no way it's going to be broadcast for free.

Obviously not a concern for a Prince, but for everyone else I bet it will become a whole lot more expensive to watch something that I understand is not actually too difficult to find if you care to look for it.
Then people would have the choice of paying or pirating. Currently we're forced to pirate in the UK if we want to watch.

Odd that people demand 3pm be televised but you still get matches on a Sunday not shown

No. Perfectly reasonable - they understand how to do tech, me, less so.
I'm 61 and understand technology but that's because I'm interested in it. If something new comes along that I want to know about or find out how to work it (like using a VPN or setting up a home server) then a visit to mr google will point me in the right direction.

Good for you. I understood it pretty well when I was 61 too.

What possible reason is there for him to support such a shitehousing Midlands club?

Although I’d be more concerned if attention seeking Harry professed love for the Albion. I think he’s probably a Gooner personally

I get the feeling that unlike other poshies who “support” clubs (think Dave Cameron and his love of West Ham, or Aston Villa, or whoever) that William does actually follow his side. He’s not going to be a hardcore fan who knows the players, but I think he’s genuine.

The whole purpose of the 3pm blackout was to protect clubs further down the pyramid. Anyone who things that liverpool vs Man united live on tv at 3pm wouldn't have a profound impact on the crowds at Rochdale vs Stockport at the same time is deluded.

If it's over lifted they need to find away to protect lower league football or else it will be massively weakend IMO.

Perhaps something like a rotating schedule where one week all premier league fixtures are 1230 on Saturday, championship 3pm, league one 530 then league two and conference on a Sunday. The following week the leagues shift up one time slot.

The football powers who impose these archaic rules are just our modern day Luddites. Lodged in the
past, where any progress is prohibited, out of touch with today and are so fuc***g stupid as to be
merely postponing the inevitable. Good on William for stating pretty much this.

or, if online rumours about his predilections are true, 'One was'.
Awkward. One appears somewhat squirming on the right. :dunky:
