A huge claim given the performances/potential of Ayari, Goodnight and Hinsh.
I make the claim based on the fact that he has slotted into Liverpool’s first team without missing a step. He is already doing it with one of the best teams in the world (atm)😆 and still has massive potential.
Our lads are good but are not at that level yet.
Anyway, now seems Dortmund are interested or Bournemouth with a swap deal Semenyo.

Good luck to him. Hasn't gone the way he would have liked here since moving from Reading - limited appearances for the U21/U23s, and hardly got a look-in on loan at Fleetwood last season. Hope he gets more action than our current loanees in Scotland this season have been getting!

possibly, be very Brighton to let Enciso go and then Elliott turns us down last minute.

I would rather have Enciso to be honest, he is going to be a real star.
I would rather have Enciso.. I don't rate H Elliot at all.. 35 million is stupid crazy! He's a fringe player at best .. I wouldn't pay more than 5 million

Don't know much about Elliott but if we can get £35m+ for Enciso, it would be a great bit of business.

Enciso in Elliott out for around the same amount would be incredible business. Also a great move for Julio. I’d probably rather keep him but sure he’d at least want to talk to them if they are interested.

I agree but I will be surprised if TB forks out £35-40m in a January transfer when we don’t currently need that position covered to get us through the rest of the season 🤷‍♂️
Especially as we got £35m for MacAllister. Is Elliot really worth the same amount? And as you say for a position we don't desperately need. Prefer to spend that sum on a CB.

£35m would be a mental return on a player who hasn’t done much (but a lot of potential with the right coach)
He is so young and has some exceptional qualities. If he develops some other aspects of his game as he matures, he could be very, very good indeed. £60m+ good.

TB is a gambler though and Enciso should not be in the 1st 11 with a fit squad. I wonder if this could be too good not to agree to. A fat old sell-on could make it a deal worth doing and then Atalanta do the heavy lifting of getting him to his potential?

That said, I be gutted as would my son who idolises him.

In style, if Elliot is more similar to a Mac Allister or Groß with Enciso similar to a player like Grealish, I’m afraid I’d want Elliot as a midfield playmaker (who can tackle and track back properly) because that position is more important to the current squad than a dribbling, shooting wonderkid.

No doubt he's a good player but surely there are more pressing priorities to strengthen?
Totally agree. It makes no sense even if Enciso left. Especially with Facu back in the summer. But our transfers often don’t entirely make sense.

Mackie was sold for peanuts as far as I’m concerned - he was worth far more than than £35m ( even with add ons) - a WC winner just 24 years old with his whole career ahead of him? - unfortunately with McAllister out of contract that summer, in the previous October ( following lots of exposure at the WC) we agreed a release clause as a condition of Mackie agreeing to renew his contract to 2025, which Liverpool were able to trigger. ( I am not sure why we didn’t renew his contract before the WC - or maybe we tried to?)

It is really hard to compare the transfer values of players with other players but for me, were it not for the contract winding down and the release clause, we should have got £60m for our MF star. ☹️

Edit - forgot WC was in the November not October, so we did agree the extension before the WC.
