I got the 1730 Eastbourne to Brighton before KO which was heaving at circa 1800 when it got into Falmer, then ended up making the 2133 Hastings service by leaving at 3-1 Liverpool. That looks utter carnage at Falmer post match behind me.

Another positive from today!
Surely this is no surprise? An evening game and a league cup game to boot…all entirely predictable and why so many don’t bother with such fayre now (inc. myself).Left on the final whistle from WSU, straight into a massive queue that went back to the start of the ramp. Never not made it onto at least the bridge before. Just on a train leaving Lewes bound at 22:38, and still plenty of people left behind me! Never seen it that bad.
I guess many go to support the team?Surely this is no surprise? An evening game and a league cup game to boot…all entirely predictable and why so many don’t bother with such fayre now (inc. myself).
I knew it was likely to be bad, but have never seen it that bad. I’m not complaining, just reporting in from the field. Went to support my team, a little patience is all it took!Surely this is no surprise? That's a worry no extra trains. Amex was built reliant on trains.I guess many go to support the team?
We all know mid week is bad but why it took until today for Southern or the club to put out that there wasn’t a match day service is beyond me.
Way too late for people to change plans.
Everyone wants to support the team, it’s whether you can get home, and/or at a reasonable hour.I guess many go to support the team?

Crikey, you are a fast walker!Left at FT, saw the state of the queue and decided to walk back to seven dials. Got home an hour later while some of my friends were still queuing.
Helpful to know maybe we cn ahave a thread of how long it takes to walk after the match to other locations.Left at FT, saw the state of the queue and decided to walk back to seven dials. Got home an hour later while some of my friends were still queuing.
Them's the midweek rules. All the fit-for-purpose-length trains are heading in the opposite direction out to the sticks half empty at that time of nightAbsolute shambles going back to Brighton. First train 17 mins late and every train three or four carriages.
I stayed chatting pitchside …..until seats were as good as empty……visited the toilets etc ….then strolled down to get past the queues to the Bridge carpark..and it was awful….longtime since I’ve seen it that badLeft on the final whistle from WSU, straight into a massive queue that went back to the start of the ramp.
