Tony says on official podcast that Matt’s operation is done, it was successful, and looking forward to seeing him back in the latter part of the year.
Excellent. I'm reiterating my guess that he will be involved with the squad by the Bournemouth match after the third international break and I expect a prize if correct.

When he makes his second debut for us, it will be like having a new player, or one that's only played 6 minutes for us.

(There's no harm in stating the obvious occasionally).

I tend to treat our club estimates of return dates like I do estimates on timeframes from builders. At least double it, and maybe more than that. For some reason always seems to take longer than anticipated!
Is that because they are normally off doing another job somewhere else?

Happy to one of the few on here who did not want them to win the playoffs, stain on Sussex club.

The fact that I was wrong about them refusing to let us play at their stadium during the dark years is irrelevant, they are just wrong uns

I’d rather support Palace than them

Great news. Often I open these player threads when they're injured with trepidation that they've got worse. Here it looks better than I feared.

Three months is pretty good news, 8 weeks even better. Hopefully quick recovery as his injury record is very good
