Always the double standards. When Dale was sent off at Burnley it was explained by 'experts' - OK, pundits, and I think a retired referee - that the extent of the damage caused was something that was (rightly, apparently) taken into consideration when awarding the red card. Not always, apparently..........
Similarly, it has been shown conclusively that a retrospective ban can be issued. Hemed. Without going all hysterical, this is what should happen here - what's good enough for Brighton should be equally applicable for Crawley.

We were all poised to snatch the yellow card out of the ref's hand, but he forgot to issue one

Similarly. Most people here I think thought that was a disgraceful assault by Andone versus Stains … and cost us a loss. I realise some said it was fair challenge!

It would appear so.

I just wanted to know how long he might be out so that I can properly calibrate how much bed wetting to do.
According to this place - and elsewhere, no doubt, it's somewhere between a few days and forever.

There is absolutely no evidence of that at all and tbh it seems extremely unlikely.

It was basically a shocking tackle which was probably premeditated to the extent it was intentional to hurt him when he did it. The fact it was O’Riley is just incidental I think, there’s no reason to target him specifically, he was just unlucky to be on the end of it.
There was absolutely a reason to target him. In a team full of reserves, O’Riley was the sparkly multi-million pound new boy, the one player highlighted as above nearly all the rest, and the guy most likely to destroy Crawley’s game plan. And most of all, exactly the sort of pretty-boy, well-paid, highly talented PL footballer that the likes of Thug Williams knew he could never be himself. He must have been salivating at the prospect and he had only 6 minutes to wait before his opportunity.

I think some people have lost all sense of reality during their online arguments with strangers about a unknown scenario :lolol:

Meanwhile, here's another question to chuck out there, would fans be as apoplectic with rage if was one of the regulars that got clattered, as opposed to a shiny new singing? A lot of the narrative seems to be around how it was only minutes into his debut, as if that makes it worse, somehow?

A bad tackle is a bad tackle, no?
