If he’s not ready to play PL football he still isn’t one of the three first time players needed.

IF being the key word there. Until RDZ see's him in training, we (or they) don't really know. Based on past experience, (Enciso, Buononote, Mac A, Caicedo) these young SAs aren't up to starting until they've been around for a while. I'd think he'll be on the fringes until the summer and RDZ will bring him on for a few cameos to see what he needs and give Barco a bit of experience and then decide what to do in the summer.

So, reading the last few pages on here , he’s signed but the club are waiting to announce, he’s not signed and doing a Pritchard, he’s signed and will be going out on loan for the rest of the season, he’s signed but should be straight into the first team squad.

In fairness to the reporter, he said it'll be announced this week, and I let my imagination run away with me. That's what happens when there's no game to concentrate on.
Why can't we just be playing football? Bloody winter breaks.

And therein lies the real stupidity of even contemplating loaning Barco out

Is there any evidence at all that Bloom is doing anything to upset RDZ ? Quite the reverse. If Barco is loaned (and all Naylor said blandly was that it’s part of the thinking) I doubt it would be against RDZ wishes. And this from Brian Owen offers a more nuanced explanation of the idea that RDZ said he needed “3 or 4 players” oft quoted in this thread.

Am I missing something - the athletic article says he’s set for a medical not that he’s signed…? Everyone knew that - Fab tries to beat the others (having not broken the news) by saying it’s done when it’s obviously going to happen.. Thsts what annoys me and many. He obvs has some good contacts but not one for every single big transfer as he claims and guesses….

I think “everyone” knew he was set for a medical because he reported that as well (as did others). He’s also shared the contract details - bit harder to “guess” .
