I do laugh at all the negativity here - some context - we’re playing the 6th place off the park, away from home, all while having the worst injury list in the league.
Absolutely this.

But what a shite, defensive, boring team West Ham are.

Absolute credit to our players for trying to win the game on their own for the last 45, despite several being dead on their feet and the rest having about 50 combined Brighton PL appearances between them.

Absolutely brilliant 2nd half from us. Great football, had everything but a goal against this BORING BORING side who got their BORING 4th clean sheet in a row. Glad we don't need to watch this BORING football every week. Even their own fans were bored.

Hinsh was brilliant. What a player he could be. Thought he was drafted in because we were desperate, but he's genuine quality.

Moder looks even better than before. Again, I had my doubts he'd be the same player following such a big injury but he looks sharp as anything. Shame about his finish, but that's easily forgiven as he's barely played in 18 months.

Van Hecke - immense. Lallana was quality when he came on.

We deserved the win here, no doubt. Just lacked the finishing, but on another day we would have won this convincingly.

A couple of negatives - poor-ish game for Welbeck. Ferguson is in poor form, but I expect him to recover soon.

Disappointing, because our quality 2nd half deserved a win that would have put us sixth - but boring defensive football won them a point today.

At least we've found a cure for insomnia.

Real missed opportunity there. Disappointing as WHU were utter shite. Dull as dishwater.

Needed more composure and better anticipating from all our attacking players. Gross header, Welbeck side foot, Hinsh should have waited for the chance to drop, Lalanna had more time, forwards not anticipating headers back across. It was there for us and we didn't take it. Played well second half.

Oh well. Clean sheet and an absolute breeze for Pervis who looked good. Him, JPVH, Steele and Milner the pick of the bunch for me which is annoying when most of the game was in their half!

@Triggaaar are you watching this and telling me Milner is a winger?
He played on the left in a midfield 3, we didn't play with wingers today. Milner has played as a winger many times in his career, so I'm not sure what you're on about.

Noooo...we need him!! He'll play his way into top form soon. UTA.
What we need is players on the flanks, wingers and full backs. If we sign some this window, he won’t get much of a look in.

However, let’s see how he does when he (probably) starts at Stoke at the weekend.

First clean sheet of the season!

Over half way through the season, won our very tough Europa League group our first ever attempt, we’re above Manchester United, Newcastle and Chelsea in the league, 3 points off 6th. We’ve just gone to the team above us and forced them to play with two banks of five, with 17 shots in the second half and an off day in front of goal.

All this with the most injuries in the league, never mind to key players. Oh and the selling of £200m of talent in the summer.

So yeah, I’m pretty bloody pleased!
