Painkiller. It was good but not as good as Dopestick which really covered the same ground about the Oxycontin addiction crisis in the States. The fact that the Sackler family was never arrested and put behind bars is unbelievable. But the FDA and the medical profession didn't exactly cover themselves with glory
Used the commute to and from Athens to watch this and throughly enjoyed it.

Uzo Aduba (plays Suzanne Crazy Eyes in OITNB) is superb I thought.

Someone else mentioned Dopesick to me in the pub last night when I was talking about it so will see if I can find that to watch somewhere.

Finished it last night. I think it finished superbly to be honest. I'm giving it a solid 8/10.
Working through Bodies at the moment.

Really enjoying Bodies - great storyline but does Stephen Graham ever get a day off, he seems to be in everything?

Another vote for Bodies, brilliant so far.

I watched the first episode and thought it was a load of crap.....should I stick with it?

Well I assume you're not asking the 4 people you quoted because we've already said it was good! 😀
Well kinda. I was asking does it get any better really. If you all turn round and say I was gripped from the first episode then I probably won't bother continuing to watch.

If you'd asked me if both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were worth the hype based on just the first two seasons I would have said no. They are my number one and two all time favourite shows.....so yes I have FOMO but I also don't want to waste my time.

I can't remember if I was gripped by Bodies from the outset or not.

I did think it was decent though.

Had a poorly dog last night so ended up sitting up with her until the early hours so binged all 8 episodes of this last night.

Agree with @Lyndhurst 14 it is probably a slightly better watch than Painkiller. It certainly paints John Brownlee in a much more favourable light than Painkiller does. Also found it interesting that Painkiller focused a lot on the sales reps being barbie dolls using sex to sell their product where Dopesick makes it out to be a more male frat boy dominated environment. Painkiller makes the family squabbles like a bit of circus where in Dopesick whilst it is equally as absurd (sitting different ends of the table, tell my brother he is a.... etc) it makes it more believable.

Both a decent watch but if you are going to watch one over the other I'd side with Dopesick.

If you love very low brow humour, boobies, sausage, ridiculous sub plots, silly action scenes, and enjoy a few hours of easy smiles then Obliterated should be on your Netflix watch list.
Good call thanks. It’s big, dumb, knowingly cliched and am really enjoying it!

Genuine question.
Is your use of "emptying" a typo, or something that youngsters are using to mean "working my way through the episodes" nowadays?
I'm 58 and have no idea, hence the question.
The only emptying you need to do when you reach a certain age is your bladder.

Not Netflix but the new Jack Reacher series starts on Amazon Prime tomorrow. The first three episodes I think. Can't wait.

Revisited Don't Look Up over the weekend. Even better second time around. All-star cast having great fun. Not seen it yet? If you liked Mars Attacks! - and who doesn't like Mars Attacks! - then you'll absolutely love this!

It’s far superior to the first series.

The guy who plays Reacher seems to have developed some charisma and rudimentary acting skills. He still walks like he’s got a paralysed neck but he’s really improved.

Took me two goes to get through the first series, giving up once because of his appalling screen presence.

But yeah, S2 is far better.

You sum it up perfectly. It silly, daft and at times even cringeworthy BUT I think every episode had at least one laugh out loud moment.

Great shout.
