I went to bed after the second quarter of the Cowboys v Jets.

I was right. Another season to just endure the suffering.

Definition of insanity, throwing it to the back of the end zone to man under coverage over and over again and expecting a different result.
Offense was badly out of sync last night (although I thought Engram had a few good moments).

Real chance of the Chargers going 0-3 next week when they face the Vikings, maybe even winless when they go into their bye in week 5 after playing the Raiders. The D cant stop anybody so far, and the passing offense seems strangely subdued. Herbert was supposed to "opened up" in this new system but, from what I've seen so far, seems to be playing well within himself at times. Doesn't help that the only threat he has to throw to still is Keenan Allen...everyone else has gone missing.
Im saying it now, Brandon Staley will be one of the first coaching casualties this season unless they turn things around quick.

Really proud and surprised by Seattle.

After last week’s nightmare against the Rams, where we barely managed a second half inch, let alone a yard, it looked like we were in for a truly dreadful season.

But then we go to Detroit, play really well and come away with the W.

Amazing turnaround!

Taking nothing away from Geno & the gang, but that was such a clear holding penalty on Hutchinson on the final game winning play of OT. I called it in real time as I watched it, and quite amazed that the refs didn't see it.

Well, I think we can say the Browns are probably done for the year, now that Nick Chubb is out for the season. (Likely) multiple ligament tears in the same knee he ruined at Georgia in 2015.
Watson isn't the answer at QB (add him to the jersey of shame!), the OL appears to have forgotten how to block, and the play calling from Stefanski is just horrible at times (he'll be gone this season).

No way this team is challenging for the division this season....again.

Rotten luck for Chubb….. (and the Browns).

One of the worst sports injuries I've seen. Genuinely looked like his leg was about to snap off...

I've just seen it....pretty gruesome. That could be him done for good with a 2nd major injury to that knee tbh. If it is, that will be a monumental loss to Cleveland. Probably the best RB they've had since Earnest Byner back in the 80s, a HUGE part of that franchise, and my favourite Browns player for a long, long time. Absolutely gutted 😢
I know it wasn't an illegal hit, but I've always worried about players tackling with their full body weight, at speed, at other players knees. Minkah knew exactly where he was aiming with that hit, despite Chubb already on his way down from another tackle.
With all the new safety rules that have been introduced over the last few years, is it time to outlaw hitting players at the knee as well?

A real shame for Chubb, and I hope he can recover fully, he is an absolutely superb player.

I have to say though my sympathy for the Browns this year is in short supply. Watson lucky to be not ejected for pushing the officials.

I really hope he can, but it'll be a miracle IMO. With him being such an integral part of the offensive game plan, I just cant see how the Browns come back from this. The WR corps arent great, the QB situation is questionable with DW - theres no way hes playing at the level expected with a $230m fully guaranteed deal, and now the run game is knackered. I know Ford rushed for 130+ last night, but about 70 of those came on one run. I just dont see him as the main man going forward. Time to give Kareem Hunt a call again?

I haven't seen the DW incident but, if true, he can expect a call from NFL HQ. Suspend him a few games and get DTR under center to see how he does.
Only week 2 I know, but nothing to lose after last night....

I think Watson was a mistake on so many levels. First of all he's a scumbag, second massively overpaid when he should be begging for a job, third he used to be worth that money when he was younger, but he'll not recover those previous heights imo. The loss of Chubb really highlights the folly of throwing all your cash at DW.

I like the Browns, but they have sullied themselves with the Watson. I really hope that fanbase can eventually get something to cheer for after so much heartbreak and disappointment in the past, just once the organisation has washed itself clean.

Yup. Stayed up to watch the game and wished I hadn't. The loss was bad enough, but the Chubb injury was awful. Thought we'd battled back into it after that horrendous first play, but it wasn't to be.

And yes, Watson isn't the answer, in fact I don't even think he's an upgrade on Mayfield. (What is it with Browns and QBs?) All that money, and goodwill, squandered for nothing. Newcastle FC may have sold their souls to the devil but at least the devil kept his side of the bargain.

100% this.

I remember saying when the reports were coming out about signing DW, that I would prefer to keep Mayfield and draft someone else a year or so down the line....

Cleveland's fan-base isn't known for patience, or sitting quietly. IF DW continues to play at an average level, and they struggle offensively, then they will let the owners know about it. But what can Haslam & Stefanski do when they've tied themselves & DW to that HUGE contract?!? Absolute shit show.

Gutted for Mike Williams. Has his best game for ages, and is then carted off with a serious looking knee injury, which could be him done for a while.

On the flip side though, amazed to hear that Chubb may not have done as much damage to his knee as first thought. Looks like its "just" an MCL tear and the ACL is intact.
