Said it on the match thread at half time - that was definitely the worst half of football we’ve played under him. So lucky to go in level.

Second half very good and comfortable.

I thought Bournemouth would be better than they were to be honest. Any half decent PL team would have been out of sight at half time. I didn’t think they would be this season as I liked Iraola in Spain, but I now think they are definitely in a relegation battle, they were really poor.

First half was the most we have missed Caicedo and Mac by far. Unfortunately neither starting centre midfielder today has the ability, movement or willingness to receive the ball under intense press as was required today in that first half.

First half was very strange. We had 2 defensive mids sat directly in front of a narrow back 4, with little space amongst them to pass, and then a big gap between them and 4 attacking players. Just a wide open space in midfield. Meant all our usual build up play just couldn’t happen, and we resorted to either a long ball into Evans feet or us looking clueless at what to do.

They will spend huge in January. Pre Xmas 2022 they were certs for relegation.

Then they brought in 5 highly rated players. Something like £50m spent and at least one loan.

I also thought that versus AEK we were crying out for their ilk. Instead a powder puff/slow CM was being run past for fun.

First half yes.

Over 90 minutes AEK, West Ham and Everton were worse imho.

Second half today so many quality performances and some good play in spells.
Agree with this. Poor by our high standards. Same as Thurs. Thurs we still should have won and dominated the game - today we got a bit of luck. It’s such fine lines - Luton game we weren’t that good were we but somehow won 4-1 🤣
