Three games in seven days where I believe RDZ will mix things up. We’ll see the debuts of Igor and Baleba. Facundo will be back and even Webster is certain to get a game.

Perhaps like this……

Vs Athens:
————————-Steele————————-
Milner—-—--Dunk——-Igor———Estupinan
——————Groß—-Dahoud——————-
March—————Pedro———-——-—-Fati
——————-—Ferguson————————

Vs Bournemouth:
———————Verbruggen———————-
Veltman——-JPVH——--Dunk——Estupinan
——————Gilmour—-Groß——————-
March—————Lallana—————Mitoma
———————-Welbeck————————

Vs Chelsea:
———————Verbruggen———————
Milner——Webster——Igor———-Lamptey
————-—Baleba—Dahoud——————
Adingra——-—Buonanotte—-—-—Mitoma
————————Pedro————————--

We have such a wonderfully deep squad.

What this team will be might depend on how strong he wants to go against Bournemouth. I'm sure he'll want to be as strong as possible on Thursday, so he 'could' rotate Mitoma out for Fati, although i doubt it.

Verbruggen
Milner JP Dunk Pervis
Gilmour Gross
March Fati Mitoma
Ferguson

That's my guess

With Velts, Webster, Dahoud, Lallana, Pedro and Welbeck back in on Sunday.
I wouldn't classify Miner over Veltman as being "as strong as possible".

I'd give Mitoma a rest. He plays so much, travels so much with Japan, tired a bit last year and is vital to us in key games.
Apart from that I'd go in very strong. I'd probably play Adingra on the left with Fati coming on again for another run out.
Gross, March and Dunk have to play if fit.

I agree. Mitoma should be treated better by De Zerbi. He had a knock playing against New Castle, but De Zerbi ignored it. He continued with national duties & upon his return he had to play full minutes against Man United. We now have so many attacking options. Surely, De Zerbi has to manage a rotation better.

It depends how RdZ sees the relative strengths of AEK and Bournemouth. Chelsea is less of an issue because he'll rotate the squad heavily.

Other than that, I just can't decide. No idea who he'll pick. I've seen the merits of about 10 of the suggested combinations so far in this thread.

..............................................Bart ............
Veltman.................JPVH..................Dunk.......................Pervis
..................Groß...........Gilmour...........Dahoud
March (if fit)..........................................................Mitoma
...................................Ferguson................................

But we really are blessed with options.
- Keepers are basically interchangeable at this point.
- Would be quite content with Adingra or Ansu Fati in the wide places, and neither Welbeck nor Joao Pedro are an issue up top.
- Lallana is still as good as anyone in the squad - I've only not included him from the start, as I'm desperate to see him looked after and stay fit over the long season. Milner clearly decent back up.
- Groß could move to RB if he had to, but actually Lamptey was very good on Saturday, and happy to see him cover for either full back.
- Despite people's current worries over his form, Adam Webster is a very decent CB, and I've no concerns about him stepping in if he had to. No opinion at all on Igor yet.

Amazing depth, tbh.
Amazing depth indeed. I haven’t paid any meaningful attention to the clubs which struggled juggling Europa League and the EPL but I presume part of the issue is lack of numbers to play so many games. It seems Bloom has this well covered.

Well, I not only rate our best players differently to you, but anticipate that RDZ's selection will too. We'll have to wait c34 hours to find that out though. Pretty sure Veltman, JPVH, Gilmour and Mitoma will start (instead of Milner, Igor, Dahoud and Fati). The front four is a little trickier to pick. March and Mitoma will likely start if both fit. Who knows who starts in goal.
