Oliver is another utter bellend.
Just an attention seeker, the usual suspects in the Telegraph and other wackos are all out there.

The thing is there is a market for all this conspiracy shit ...

The idea that the media are going after Russell Brand because “he says things the establishment don’t like” might hold a tad more credibility were it not for the same media hounding Huw Edwards over an arguably far less serious offence only a few months ago

YouTube have suspended monetisation on his channel today.

"Industry experts have estimated Brand probably makes between £2,000 to £4,000 per video, which,, based on five videos a week, could produce close to £1m a year"

The idea that "they" are so worried about his "monologues" that "they" will look to silence him is hilarious. Other than the usual suspects, who listens to him and decides he must be right because he used to stand on cliffs talking about geography?

What happened to innocent until proved guilty in a court of law rather than the court of public opinion?

Isn’t this “alleged” offence?

Nothing

(I seem to be experiencing deja vu all over again. Is this groundhog day?)

All our rabbiting aside, perhaps the age of consent could usefully be edited. Yes I know there are countless people who started a relationship age 16 (or younger) and it lasted a lifetime, but that isn't the point. If we are going to bleat about how 'unbalanced' a relationship between a 30 year old and a 16 year old is, then why not make it illegal? Or STFU about it. Surely? Conflating morality and legality isn't appropriate.
