I’ll start.

In East Stand Upper all the burgers, hot dogs, sausage rolls and virtually all the pies were sold out at half time. And I mean the start of half time. How can that happen? Did not expect a crowd?

Did the staff sing “we forgot you were here”

Bit off topic but The Harveys Bar in Dicks Bar was a complete shit show today.
People who didn't know how to pour a pint or change a barrel from the very minute it opened.
I gave up in the end.

It might appear that not wrapping pies anymore, and just having them sitting there in their cardboard sleeve are drying the piglets out. No veggie pies at my nearest kiosk (but that’s usual) and I think I saved myself a fiver tbh because everyone else commented on how dry they are getting.

A steak pie from the NS, the best ever. Not soggy at all, so zero mess onto clothing!

One complaint based on greed …. I wish it was 50% bigger :).

NS kiosk staff were still astonishingly slow. Spending 10 minutes with the extended family in front of us.
Will put it down to start of season and new staff but christ it was incredibly slow in the NS! Slower than I ever remember

Pies have made a triumphant return to the 1901 lounges.

But it’s not all good news - they now arrive in a cardboard sleeve (a la the concourse) and not on the china plates we’re accustomed to.

Bet they don’t have this bother in the The Tunnel Club

Despite the horrendous looking queues, the teams in the Harvey bars outside have really got the process cracked. Very efficient. Maybe they do it more often at other events because it’s a world away from the general shambles and lack of urgency at the concourse bars in WSU.

I had a chicken balti pie , seemed to be smaller than before , not as tasty and very wet , sauce not thick enough
against Luton had a sausage roll again seemed smaller , not as tasty as last year , seemed to be less seasoning
both were a little disappointing

Chicken balti pie in the NS was heated to a reasonable pie-eating temperature, unlike the molten furnace level of same v Luton hurrah. Also the extraction of pie from sleeve and placing on to paper napkins before eating prevented Lutonesque levels of down-front spillage. PBOBE IN!

I'm not surprised they were slow, they were surprised to see you in the north, you are a Weststander!

Next Saturday we play Newcastle. Kick off is at 5:30 pm. Can someone inform Sodexo on Monday morning that this event is taking place so that they don't run out of food.
I guess they plan it another way. Rather than think, 31500 supporters will need x number of pies, pints, hot drinks and crisps (and after 10 seasons they should know x quantity) they base it on 50% of required staff can only serve 50% of x therefor only get in 50% of the food. Upper concourses now close at full time so why waste having food left over. Staffing issues I understand, heck, anyone employing low wage staff understands. But give the staff you have something to sell.
Week one I had the very last pie at 2:35 with 100's still waiting.
Hammers I got a pie but no Bovril or Cheese & Onion crisps, the latter two would keep for a month anyway so an obvious item to over stock.
It may seem a very minor thing but if you have only one job, to feed 31500 supporters, then get it right.
