For anyone who is bored or thinks the club should just sell below their asking price because they're tired of checking the latest news (there's been virtually no news for the past 2 months anyway but Fib and Jacobs keep finding new ways to talk bollocks and repeat themselves), maybe stop reading this thread, checking the news and social media.

Caicedo is absolutely central (metaphorically and physically) to how we play. We have no-one anywhere near to having his athleticism, power, pace. He is a generational talent. We would be so open against many PL clubs without him over the course of a season. If those mugs are playing games over a few million and low balling when their clubs are worth billions etc etc, then they can do one. To think we once started games with Bissouma, Caicedo and Mwepu! Now that is some power!

I'd argue that not selling our prized asset on the cheap is more important than other potential young players thinking they may not get their move away. The other players and RDZ are too focused to let MC throwing his toys out impact them. It's not ideal but suppose it gives other players a chance to play. I don't think MC will play this month even if he stays past the window.

FWIW, I think he probably will go but thankfully we have the best Chairman in the world who is across everything and wants him to stay. He'll only go if it is in our interests. I really hope he stays one more year as it promises to yet again be our best ever season but in TB and RDZ I trust unequivocally.

I hope that if Moises refuses to play against Luton, we at least dock his wages by an appropriate amount. I really don't care where his head is. He's paid to play for us and should just bloody well get on with it.

That has been remarkable, this summer. Some nsc’ers have been willing to throw away £20m to £30m of our club’s money (effectively Tony’s), because they can’t hack the not knowing :lolol: .

It is still possible to cut all social media for a few weeks (sorry Bozza), so that you wouldn’t have the foggiest what Romano, Jacobs and Chavs plastics are boring the world with.

I had a fair few hours yesterday not looking at either the Caicedo or Kudus threads.

It was utter bliss. And nothing at all had changed once I looked again.

Highly recommended - I might do it again later in the week.

I think I need to take a break from this saga. The continuous myth peddling about this supposed promise is winding me up.

Time to go outside people. Life is too short.
Doesn’t bother me at all……I enjoy reading the nonsense posted on here and elsewhere but believe very little of it. Club is in great hands so whatever happens will almost certainly be the right thing to do at the time and definitely in the club’s best interests. The ‘thread unwatch’ button is useful if you want to ignore certain threads….

Clearly the club cashing in on Bob/Tross after a strop is going to be a factor in any shenanigans from Moises.

The club may decide Caicedo he is at risk of going on permanent strike and realise it's best to accept an offer.
Or they may think he will revert to his true personality once the window has closed and stick to their guns.

Either way it matters very little.
Caicedo is still a great player and I'm proud he is/was a Brighton player.

The Albion will prevail and I will enjoy watching Gilmour/Alzaate/Dahoud or whoever else fills his shoes.

One of my mates is a Liverpool fan and he said he’d have MC in a heartbeat up there (Fairly obvious).
His suggestion was an £80m with a loan back for the season which I actually found quite intriguing.

I said, personally, I’d let him go to Liverpool for £80m just to piss off chelsea which is why I don’t run a PL club.

But the idea of a lower transfer fee with a loan back option is interesting. I presume Chelsea haven’t offered this as they desperately need him for the coming season.

Only chance Liverpool have of Joining the Caicedo race is if they sell the club or Remortage the stadium.

They are so far behind City, Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea in spending power it's mad.

Feel's surreal even having Arsenal in there nowadays.

Maybe I'm wrong but I've a suspicion that loan back deals to other PL teams are now forbidden ?

So now Brighton are left without a key player, with no funds coming in, a manager in frustration and a dressing room in confusion.
The situation is in danger of turning into something of a circus for Albion. The player clearly doesn't want to be at the club, Bloom has allegedly given his word the lad can leave, Chelsea have offered a more than reasonable amount, and yet still the club are dragging this out to a very painful conclusion. This farce is all on the Brighton board. Nobody else to blame.

One thing is for sure, this will alert every single promising young player and their respective agent on how Bloom intends to operate moving forward. In future, Bloom might find he's having significantly more difficultly in enticing wunderkinder to the South Coast, given the choice, in light of how Moises Caicedo has been treated. He's playing poker with Brighton's future for the sake of ~£20m and it's a dangerous game. A very dangerous game indeed.
The word on the street is that Kudus isn't signing because Brighton won't include a transfer release clause. I knew the Caicedo stance would come back to bite Tony Bloom, just didn't realise karma would act so swiftly. Time to let Moises go for the £80m-£90m. Keeping him has no benefit to the club from this point forward.
