Well done to Levi with such a classy message to Brighton. Kid was brought up right and will go on to have a very successful career at Chelsea Football Club.
Or elsewhere. Probably elsewhere as classy and that lot don’t exists 🤪

Levi posting this now suggests to me that he was holding out hopefully that he'd be sold to Albion, but now finally knows it won't happen. Great message, wish him all the best (but not the rest of that entitled, soulless club).
Absolutely and he changed his Twitter background pic at the same time he posted his message so clearly was happy to have come to Brighton .

I think it was £2.5bn…the rest was a commitment to future funding. And it was only worth that much because Abramovich had funded horrendous losses over many years, and then had to write off the associated debt.
Pumped in over 2bn in losses that would have seen them deducted points and relegated under current FFP and recieved 1.7bn for the sale.

The way to answer all the Chelsea plastics who are gloating because he has signed a new contract.

“ Your club has had to pay a 19 year old, with 13 PL starts, none of which were for you, £100,000 a week to stop him joining Brighton “

It’s cost you 5.2 million pounds per annum to keep your own player.

He didn't even get that!

TL;DR: 'After buying Chelsea for 140 million pounds in 2003, Abramovich ended up with nothing. Not even a return of the 1.6 billion pounds of loans he had to write off to allow the club to be sold and continue playing.

It was never about money for Abramovich, though. More about status and winning trophies.'

It was a handy life insurance policy !
