I know absolutely feck all about only fans however surely the identity of a " fan " would be hidden from the content provider otherwise blackmail situations would be likely if the content provider was that way inclined .

A silly old 61 year old fart earning circa 500k of taxpayers money sending 35k to a 17/18 year old who’s parents had complained about his conduct, along by all accounts other young parole he worked with?

Maybe if he worked for an institution that didn’t have a track record of employing nonces, we could all go prrrrft.
Is there any organisation in the world as gigantic as the BBC which hasn't employed a handful of paedophiles over the past 50 years? Statistically, that seems extraordinarily unlikely. It's just that their job would not play a central role in the narrative.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm talking about the BBC historically, not in relation to the current situation - where there is no evidence whatsoever of child abuse.

Who are all these BBC paedophiles anyway? I can think of Savile - who carried out many of his crimes while at work with other institutions - and Hall. Gary Glitter was in the entertainment business but not by any stretch of the imagination a BBC employee, likewise Rolf Harris.

There's a few on here who believe that because the BBC get taxpayers money, they should be 'held to a higher standard'.

I assume the same applies to NHS workers, MPs, Teachers, Refuse Collectors, Service personnel, Civil servants, roadsweepers etc etc

This broom has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles…..

Just plug her in and leave her for 6 hours ?
Since no crime has taken place the only reason the young person concerned needs a legal team is to protect themselves from The Sun.

As for Huw, all he’s done is have a private and expensive OnlyFans. Do you have any idea how many people watch porn, or the age of some of those involved?

What CF has posted seems to equate Huw Edwards to a nonce just because of where he works. It’s borderline libel. Don’t be surprised if the thread disappears
I assume you mean joined to view someone else’s OnlyFans. Much as I admire Huw’s broadcasting skill that’s where my ‘affinity’ for him ends…

Absolutely . If a teacher was married and paying a young drug addicted vulnerable boy for rude pics / sending pics of his arse behind his families back then that would be equally disgusting and held in the same regard .

The fact he’s on 500k a year and works for the bbc makes it even worse

Well, the good thing that came out of this was I finally deleted my Twitter account.

The balance of seeing it as a useful tool for information and an absolute cesspit of humanity was finally tipped. The transfer rumours taken as fact were doing my nut in, but when the sewer rats started naming people in this scandal who weren't involved and my feed was full of all sorts of general tosh about everything I realised it was time to 'get a life'. Twitter is no place for general nerdy observations of life and a bit of light hearted banter. I've got Facebook for that with folk I actually know.

If I want to get respectfully insulted I come here. I do wish NSC was broader with local new sections and everything.

I don’t care what you assume I meant. If everything the Sun says is true then all he’s done is the same thing thousands of others do all the time. And there’s no real evidence anything the Sun has said is true

Excuse me? I was making a joke that your wording implied he had started his own OnlyFans. I raised some levity about that. Then you’ve gone off on a rant. PM me if you need to talk to someone, trust me I’ve been there.

I recently gave up on Twitter too, but for far a more benign and trivial reason: I got an new phone and couldn't be arsed with it any more.

However, what I did think was that the naming and shaming exercise, before Huw was outed, was more more people expressing a wish list of potential candidates.

I had my own. Shame that none of them made it past the post.

The twitter rumor orgy is thankfully not part of my life. I was today reminded of how dangerous it is to live in certain bubbles. One of Mrs T's relatives, an aunt, who had a decent career working for the MOD, was part of a conversation about cost of living issues, and whether HMG had money to spaff. I argued that it spaffed freely during Covid, and the cost of living crisis isn't being blamed on that, so a bit of spaffing on the nurses etc., which would cost far less, is surely not unreasonable. She then launched into an arch bit of 'well, we all know where the money is going - just look to the channel'. It took almost a minute to unravel this but of mystery, but we eventually learned that the cost of living crisis is due to all the illegal immigrants who are given council houses the minute they arrive, and then they go on the dole, and clog up beds in the hospitals grinding the NHS to a halt. I got a bit cross, but was so astonished I couldn't say much. Mrs T then reappeared from another room, brandishing admonishment and vituperation. We pointed out that this is a crisis that has been allowed to increase many fold during 13 years of tory missrule. Mrs T's aunt reply was that she 'hates the present government'. I resisted the temptation to ask her whether this was because it was run by foreigners, and decided to leave it there.

I was quite upset about this as I drove home. I mean, how could anyone, let alone an educated and successful woman, hold these views? I asked Mrs T where her aunt gets all this nonsense. Apparently she takes the Daily Mail.

Anyway, my roundabout point was that I was thankful I hadn't made the mistake of asking her what she thought about all that newsreader business.

But it's always reassuring that no matter what time of day or night that we decide to come on NSC for a bit of a rant (justified or otherwise) there is always someone spending every waking second prowling NSC in order to give an ironic thumbs up within seconds of your post :lolol:
