£47 for Cat A and £45 for Cat B.

No cap on away ticket prices in the championship.
Those prices are ridiculous.

Cat B? Surely every game against The Leeds is Cat A?

Joking aside, I remember it being quite expensive (about £35-£36) when we last played there in the Championship. 6 years of inflation makes those prices about the same.

I’m a loyal Albion fan and have travelled home and away in all divisions since the 70s. I would not pay this.

Every other club should charge Leeds supporters the same. They might get some kickback then.
I really hope they finish mid table.

In fact, a dip back into tier 3 would be heartwarming.

Aren’t these prices pretty similar to when we were in the Championship 6 years ago ? I seem to remember Sheff Wed being £50. When you say ‘ridiculous’ how are you measuring that ? Demand outstrips supply for our away games at £30. A family member recently went in the members ballot for Leicester away tickets at Huddersfield on the 12/8 in the Championship and didn’t get them. Demand outstripping supply again although at nearer to PL prices. Ticket sellers have a decision to make on demand whether it be to concerts, sporting events or whatever else. They either get it right or wrong but it’s a bit early to call it ridiculous.

Is there a reduction if you bring your own bucket to sit on?

Not quite on the same scale or maybe it is (?) Macclesfield FC standing at £17 for Northern Premier League football.

It was £36 to go to Leeds away when we played them in the championship.
Your family member, if they’d been successful in the ballot, would be paying £25 to watch Leicester play at Huddersfield.
Leeds and Sheff Wed are rightly being called out for their excessive away ticket pricing.
£47 to sit in the away end at Eland Rd (have you been? It’s shit) is ridiculous, irrespective of supply/demand economics. It’s ripping off loyal fans.

Only if you sit on a scalding cup of coffee....

I suppose the point I am making is that the Leicester end was over subscribed at 25 quid as are many/most away ends in PL grounds at £30. Yeah, I’ve been to Leeds lots of times. Actually I think the view isn’t that bad compared to the days when we were in that opposite corner. My point is more though that right and wrong don’t come into ticket pricing. On a separate note I don’t think there is any such thing as loyal fans. People go to games because they enjoy it and prefer to spend their money on that over other things. You are right that at some price level many will think twice. Clubs, restaurants and other leisure businesses make a call on the level that their casual and regular customers will pay.

These establishments are also aware that they have competition. The choice for the away fan is go or don’t go.

Yup, but very few people go to all away games. Most can give Leeds a swerve if they don’t like the price. The ticket price is set for most and quite frankly if you go to all away games then you have pretty high disposable income and a few quid extra at Leeds is a very small proportion of your total football costs ie travel, tickets, food etc anyway. To be clear I am not justifying the ticket prices in any way. I am just saying that the ‘loyalty’ referred to in the OP doesn’t really exist. People spend their money on what they enjoy.

I paid £40 on the gate in 2015 for a Championship game v us there, it was cheaper if paid in advance I believe.
