Finally caught up on everything… I’m only mentioning the artists I actually know, as like usual I haven’t heard of half of them but nobody new to me wowed me.

The good:

Lana Del Rey - despite being 30 minutes late, silly moo. Then saying it’s because her hair takes ages to do… you’ve had all bloody day and evening! Pretty crappy behaviour to be honest, being late isn’t cool it’s disrespectful. Great set though, just needed more.

Rick Astley - quite wonderful actually. So much better than a “novelty” set, the guy is very talented and always has been. But now he has “cool”.

Fatboy Slim - easily my highlight, brilliant set, wish I could’ve been there for that one above all others. Albion shirts/flags aplenty and Norman was on fire. Great show.

Foo Fighters - banging mini set, they played superbly and song choices were perfect for the time allotted. I personally still love Grohl’s voice.

Still to watch Lightning Seeds (who I love) and Ian Broudie is always reliable. Hope it’s a best of type set.

The bad:

Lewis Capaldi - shouldn’t have been on the stage, felt genuinely bad for him when his Tourette’s struck. Singing wasn’t great throughout and he doesn’t look well right now.

Arctic Monkeys - started strongly but then turned into a bizarre Vegas lounge act. I understand personalities changing and moving with the times, but it was so far removed from the AM I knew for a huge chunk of it. It just wasn’t for me. Lead singer came off a bit pretentious.

GnR - sorry but when you have to turn down the lead singer’s mic so much they are barely audible, it’s probably a sign to pack it in. Slash was great though.

Very hopeful for Elton’s set: strong rumours that Britney Spears is one of his four guests, she flew into Bristol yesterday. As for the other three; who knows - maybe Eminem?

Having seen Elton live a couple of times, he is outstanding on his night - and he’s one for the big occasion.

You can add Blondie to the list of bad. An even worse vocal performance than Axl.

Not really one for 'pop' music but Lana Del Rey is superb. Will have a watch back of her set later.
Aitch.

Not one for me.
Talentless Manc shitebag.

I saw Blondie play the Pyramid Stage in 1999. They were well past their peak then!

The only annoying thing about the Blondie set is that they keep turning up the band sound and her voice gets lost. She's 77 ffs, you gotta bear that in mind.

Maybe they are bearing her age in mind?
